Just one

We played another round of cards and finished just in time. The ship dropped out of hyperspace, and the refugees rushed to the windows to look upon their new home for the first time.

Bogano, from space it looked very green and wet. It was covered in swamps, rainforests and grassy plains. The world looked empty of all civilized life, with no industry or cities anywhere. A wild and untamed land of adventure and mystery.

As we got closer one of the priestesses pointed out the location of the churches camp, and eventually we could see it. It was larger than I thought it would be. There was space for maybe a thousand people. There were lots of buildings, some made of local wood or cloth, some metal. I spotted a church, a bar, outer baths, some kind of communication array, energy banks and more. Around the camp was large defensive wall, presumably to keep out wild animals, since It didn't look solid enough for laser fire. Beyond the camp walls I could see large farms and lumber mills, with people working in them.

We breached the atmosphere I felt it. There was a sharp pain in my chest. My heart rate jumped. My breath caught in my lungs for a moment. Fuck! The dark side. I felt it. A sith had been here on Bogano!

I focused for a moment. The presence felt... weak. I had heard from the jedi elders that the war was being orchestrated by two Sith. Count Dooku, and whoever had trained him. But this presence was too weak for either of them. Could it be a Nightsister; one of those strange **** witches from Dathomir? Or something else entirely?

For a moment I considered calling the whole mission off. But .. I was a Jedi Knight. I could do this. I would get in, stay hidden, get my information and leave. The jedi order could count on me.

Still, it paid to be careful. With a little effort I formed a **** bubble around myself, so no-one else with the **** would be able to tell I was here. Then I steeled myself, calmed my heart and focused my thoughts. I was ready for this.

We landed at a little outdoor starport, and were greeted by another group of priestesses, accompanied by a small group of woman wearing... some kind of sleek power armour? I was exhausted. It was late in the evening. The sun would set soon.

The girls in power armour began unloading the ship, and the priestesses showed us to our communal sleeping area. I was told that we would get private rooms in a few days, but for now I just wanted to sleep.

I flopped on a soft bed and drifted off.
