The first morning

I woke in the morning a couple hours after sunrise. The camp was stirring. I heard the sounds of people, machinery, and the many strange and beautiful animals of Bogano.

I felt... good. I had slept well, and I was ready for my mission. There was a priestess outside my tent, who pointed me to a registration office. I lined up, waited my turn and watched the crowds.

The camp was diverse in race, I spotted every one of the core races of the senate and many other species I wasn't familiar with. Every person I saw was a woman, and many were dressed almost as lewdly as the priestess themselves. There was a feeling of community in the air, of trust, kindness, and intimacy. This mission would be a big culture shock for me, going straight from the jedi temple which frowned on relationships to somewhere like this. I watched as two women, one Chiss and one Togruta shared a passionate kiss in the street, unconcerned by how spectators watched them.

I turned away. The line was moving and it was my turn. I headed into the office, a simple structure carved from local wood, and gave my details over to a short priestess with blue hair. I identified myself by my cover story.

"I'm Cari. I am... was ... a hunter. Wild animals."

I was assigned one of the spare tents over on the south side of camp, and told to head to the mess hall for breakfast and my first day of work.

I stepped out and looked around. The mess hall was obvious. A large well built structure. I could smell the scents of food coming from inside.

I looked around me cautiously, then lowered my **** barriers and reached out. After a few moments I felt it again. The dark side.

I quickly closed my barriers again. The dark Prescence wasn't close, but I'd have to be careful. Using my **** powers would be dangerous, could alert them to me. I should do my best to blend in.
