Chapter 64 by Samus1001 Samus1001

What's next?

June gets a job

April Williams hated dealing with local authority figures. Little tin gods that didn't know they were made of tin. She especially hated male authority figures. In this case it was the chief of the local police. Just because he had a penis he automatically thought she couldn't do her job because she lacked one.

She had a bachelors degree in forensic science, graduated top of her class. Aside from a single incident over ten years ago, her record was spotless. She was hand picked at the highest level to lead this assignment. She was given 3 hours notice, thrown on a plane, and flown nearly two thousand miles. All to ensure the safety of one of the six most valuable people in the world.

And this shit for brains thought it was a good idea to tell her no. A brutal attack happened just 3 blocks from the home of her charge and this bastard wouldn't give her the details because it wasn't her jurisdiction.

Currently she was glaring at him while she waited. He was smirking back at her. Her phone pinged a text. She read it just as the intercom on the chiefs desk announced, "Sir, Um, the uh, the US Attorney General is on line one."

April almost laughed at his expression. The phone call was brief but she absolutely loved watching the color drain from this pompous assholes face.

"-Yes, sir. I was not made aware of that, sir. I will see to it that this mistake isn't made again, sir. Of course, sir. I will brief her personally, sir. And keep her in the loop for the entire investigation, yes sir." The chief hung up the phone. He looked like someone just walked over his grave.

He looked at her. When he spoke he sounded like a broken man. "Here is what we know so far... Michael and Deborah Carr arrived home at around 10:15 last night. They found the victim, their daughter, in the bathroom..."

April began taking notes. It wasn't her jurisdiction, but this was a classmate of his charge. Whoever did this was dangerous. April Williams was a woman in law enforcement. Over the course of her career she had seen things that would make most people sick. There was a special place in hell for people that could do things like this. If given the chance, she'd send him there.

The crew installing the security system was surprisingly fast. She had expected them to take all day but they were finished before lunch. Every door and every window in the house was now secure. There were cameras mounted outside giving a perfect three hundred sixty degree view around the home. They were currently being monitored from a van parked outside and crewed by a pair of marshals. The security system had an intercom in the living room, kitchen, master bedroom and Caleb's room. A simple push of a button would put them in contact with the marshals, or the UN reps, or both.

"You're the last one Mrs. Anders. The marshals can get your husband's scan as soon as he gets home." They all had to get their fingerprints scanned in order to access the security system if they wanted to so much as open a window. "Just place your fingers on the diagram and touch the metal rods with your thumb to begin the scan. Good. Now one more time to make sure it took. Excellent. Your four digit code is currently set to 8760. Enter that in... good. Looks like your all set up. If I can just get a signature here I'll be on my way."

June walked the gentlemen to the door. As the installation team got in their van, June saw on of the armored SUV's pulling in. Amelia stepped out along with the driver. June was surprised to see she was a skinny freckle faced young lady with surprisingly large breasts that didn't seem to match the rest of her body. Then again the dark tan and purple hair didn't either. Amelia greeted June with the usual kiss and grope then turned to introduce the young lady.

Amelia introduced her as Tina Young, the driver from the Canadian consulate assigned to them. June invited them inside and informed them that she was just about to prepare lunch.

Amelia insisted on them helping in the kitchen and directed Tina 'to make a proper tea'. As they prepared lunch June asked Amelia, "So tell me, what exactly are Sonia's and your duties here? You didn't really explain them last night."

"Well," she said, "It's mainly to ensure that Caleb is not taken advantage of by anyone. We are basically watchdogs. We report to the UN on his treatment by anyone he interacts with, including the US government. We also report any local problems that arise. We keep track of his concubines, the number of women he breeds, or diseases he cures with his sperm."

"That sound like a lot of paperwork," June said.

"Oh yes, it's surprisingly boring work really. The only reason there will be three of us is to ensure consistency in our reporting. Any discrepancies will be investigated and all of our reports will be reviewed once a month. Unless Caleb insists on keeping us we will be rotated out with other nations representatives every six months. The only really exciting part of the job is assisting in the requests for sex with Caleb from outside the country. In that case we review any information on the individual making the request to make sure it is legitimate and both parties are willing participants. If you are the one making inquiries with us we will be working much more closely."

June noticed that Amelia had brushed against her several times already. She smiled at her in a special way and seemed to be trying to get June to look down her shirt by the way she was standing. She was intrigued to find this much younger woman was fliting with her. When Sonia came by that morning she was also quite flirtatious with Caleb's women, which lead her to participating in the deepthroat competition that morning.

June smiled and said, "It sounds like you want me to take the job. I have to admit it is quite appealing."

"I thought it might be," Amelia said. She pulled an envelope out of her purse and handed it to June saying, "I got our bosses to send over a prospectus letter for you to read. That was why I couldn't be here with Sonia this morning."

June noted the longing in her voice and knew that Sonia had told her about the treat Caleb gave her that morning. Currently Sonia was meeting with the realtor about the house the UN was purchasing. She opened the letter and read it's contents. Shocked she looked up at Amelia and said, "This is more than my husband makes! A lot more!" The smile on the Canadian woman's face told her she already knew.
