John visits Ms. Smith

As the sun rose above the town of Fairview the next morning, Jack awoke with speed and determination to complete the mission he had set for himself the night before. He hastily spent the morning get ready, dressing well, planning his course of actions, and what he would say to Ms. Smith, and he almost left the house without having breakfast. "Jack honey, you should eat something before you go out" his mother shouted out to him just before he opened the front door. This jolted him out of the rush and almost hypnotic trance he had been in the whole morning, and as such he dropped his hand from the doorknob and walked over to the kitchen counter where his mother was.

"What's the rush dear?" his mother asked quizingly as she set out a plate of eggs and bacon she had quickly made. that simple question started to rush through his brain creating a thousand more questions, like what would she think of his plans, does she know what was in the box, and a thousand more. And as it all came ahead he blurped out his own question blankly, "what happened to dad all those years ago?". This had left his mother scrambling for her own answer, but she quickly gave her usual rhetoric of "Honey, you know I don't like to talk about it", with a soft look try to hide what she knows.

"That's ok, guess I just have a bunch on my mind" Jack replied before taking a mouth full of food and quickly scarfing down the rest in the mater of a min. "Guess I should get going" He said rushing off to the door again, leaving his mother with a puzzled look as she stated to think back on everything. (Oh Amanda, what have you done now, your boy is running off in daze, your daughter avoids you, and your now left to your own all alone without your man. Maybe you should of never motioned the box in the attic, do you think he remembered it, he must of, that boy forgets nothing.) This contemplation stirred in Jack's mother thinking back to her loving family she had built and where it was now, but she had to quickly push that aside as she also had to make off for work today. So she moved to clean up the kitchen, and leave her empty

house.

At the tech repair shop

Jack arrived outside Ms. Smiths repair shop named TechFix, stopping for a moment before taking in a deep breath and entering the store. with a chime of door sensor he walked into the somewhat bland store that was filled wall to wall with any and all things tech from computer parts, to cameras, to speakers, and more. Sitting at the counter on her phone was Ms. Smith's daughter Olivia, who was the same age as Jack. She is a petite girl with auburn red hair, and was wearing her normal getup of a tank top and jean shorts that showed toned midsection, and giving off innocent girl next door vibes.

"what can I help you with" Olivia said looking up from he phone to see Jack standing before the counter

"Oh I uh, uh came by to ask your mom if she need any some staff here at the shop" Jack said stumbling over his words.

"Mom! Jacks here about the job!" Olivia shouted back into the store while chewing on a piece of gum and looking Jack up and down, while he shyly stood there.

And suddenly out from the back came walking Ms. Smith, she was a tall middle aged woman with auburn hair just like her daughters, but had a bit more curves than her, and was wearing tight leggins and a pink tank top that showed off her slight curves. "Jack thank you so much for stopping by, I have talked to your mom for so long to get you to come work here, come on follow me back so we can discuss it" she said with enthusiastic confidence as she quickly swung around walking into a back office, all the while giving Jack a good view of her rear while he followed behind leaving Olivia to again watch the counter.

Ms. Smith proceeded to sit down a desk in the office, and gestured to on of the other seats in the room for Jack to sit down. "Well Jack I presume your mother told you about the offer to work here over the summer?" she said looking Jack up and down.

"Yes, and I was wondering what exactly you wanted me to do around here Ms. Smith?" Jack responded sitting stiff in his seat.

"Oh, well everything from helping with repairs, sorting out components, labeling and pricing, just all-around helping out in the store, and you can call me Nicole" she said waving here hand in the air listing things off. "you will get paid bi weekly for $10 an hour, every hour you work".

"Will there be any benefits like getting free parts or anything" Jack said quizzing her.

"Well since you suggested it and since we are family friends, I'll let you have first pick up any parts you scavenge when doing demos, and give you half price on anything else, how does that sound" Nicole said with a bit of thought in her voice as she replied to his question.

"When can I start?" jack quickly said, jumping at the bit.

"Immediately if you so chose, we can always use the help" she responded.

And as such Jack got straight to work helping out around the store, working on orders, and demos, He quickly got the hang of things. This would be the start he thought as his plans came more in motion and he started to collect up a few parts for the machine back home. And so the day went on with Jack working at the store, and before he new it the day was done and he headed home for the night, ready to be back the next day.
