Jaune!

In the middle of their dust lab, Team RWBY and friends found themselves doing a pretty simple experiment. The lab mostly focused on the precise ratios surrounding dust combinations. Due to having attended traditional school, Jaune was actually one of the better students in the class; just behind Weiss. This lab was incredibly similar to ones he had done previously, so he wasn't paying too much attention.

In an unfortunate slip up, Jaune accidentally knocked his pencil off the lab table. He sighed and reached to pick it up, he was very surprised when his hand came up with a grey dust crystal, not the pencil he has expected.

'Huh? I wonder what this is?' He thought to himself. He slowly began examining the crystal, being extra careful to not activate it.

It seemed to be a stable mixture, but it didn't have the color that traditional hybrid dusts do, which was extremely peculiar. Normally, dust mixtures struggle to stabilize if not mixed into the well researched ratios of the normal hybrid dusts. This crystal was stable, but clearly not a known hybrid.

'Is this a new type of dust? Why would it be in the floor?' He decided to ask the person in the room who would know best, Weiss.

"Hey Weiss? Does this crystal seem odd to you?" Jaune asked across the table. Ruby and Weiss both looked at him, and his lab partner Pyrrha also seem intrigued.

"Where did you find that?" Weiss asked, recognizing the crystal in his hand.

"It was just under the table. Do you recognize it? Is it a new kind of dust?" Jaune asked. Weiss shook her head.

"Unfortunately, no... But I do recognize it. I made it, in fact. I didn't realize it hadn't gotten properly disposed of." Weiss lamented.

"What's it do?" Ruby asked curiously.

"According to all my tests, it does nothing. It didn't react to my aura, doesn't conduct electricity, and doesn't display any sort of hydrophobia. Despite somehow being stable, it's effectively useless." Weiss explained.

"It doesn't react to aura at all?" Jaune asked.

"Not in my testing. In fact, it seems to simply hold Aura inside of it. There might still be a bit of my aura left, in fact."

That _was_ and interesting property. Jaune decided to test it and slowly pushed his aura into the crystal. Instead of feeling his aura leave his body, the crystal reacted violently! All the stored energy he had been feeling, was suddenly pushed into his body. Jaune gasped at the cold feeling of Weiss's aura rushing through his body.

Ruby and Weiss's eyes went wide as Jaune's normally pure white aura was suddenly diluted with the light blue of Weiss'. For a single moment, Jaune could feel everything in the room... No. That wasn't right. His skin was hyper sensitive. He could feel the lightest of breezes dance across his skin and leave him with goosebumps. Suddenly, the cold inside transitioned into a raging fire.

The sudden intensity of feelings was far too much for Jaune, and he instantly fell ****. Pyrrha nearly screamed as her partner fell **** into her arms. Weiss was still in shock at the violent effect her dust had. Had her incompetence seriously just hurt a friend?

"J-Jaune!?" Ruby and Pyrrha both exclaimed as the girls in red rushed to his side. His heart was still beating alright, but he had a massive fever. Pyrrha picked him up, and the two girls sprinted towards the nurses office.
