Its the morning of the Wedding!

It was finally the day of your wedding and everyone was scrabbling to get ready for the day. Most of your harem were helping set up a few last minute things just as the wedding gifts that were streaming in and the food for the reception later. But before you could go help with that and get ready yourself, you had one piece of silliness to complete.

“Why do I have to be in a damn basket!” Demanded Merida as Starfire set her down in an oversized basket filled with moonshine, bourbon, bows and arrows, and some soft pillows and blankets.

“Well, you did agree to go to my Uncle Hoss’ place and help me complete one of my solemn promises,” you replied solemnly. Granted you made the promise at 8 years old and you wanted to spend more time with your mom so you promised to find Uncle Hoss a red headed princess to be in a band with instead.

One quirk that you developed over the years is an aversion to debts, you always did your best to clear debts as soon as possible. Promises were just lower priority debts in your book and you finally had an opportunity to clear up two promises. Well, two promises and a debt in any case.

You had also made another promise when you were younger to find Uncle Ross a beautiful princess to play with since he looked so lonely when the family would leave after your visits. And you needed to thank Walt for saving you from that Trash World.

This all brings you to what you are doing now. You were going to gift Merida to Uncle Hoss, both to send Merida somewhere more like home and to clear your debt to him. Considering Merida’s voice was barely understandable for most of the harem though you didn’t have much difficulty (though it took several tries for you), you felt it was best sending her somewhere she could have casual conversations and a natural environment to enjoy.

Plus, Merida had a “little” argument with Pixel and the fact that she doesn’t eat the crust of her pizza and used one of your Crocodile Dundee Fixed Blade collectibles to work on her new bow. Which is why she is being gifted in an actual gift basket.

“It will only be for a few minutes, Uncle Hoss’s Friday said they will be arriving soon,” you begged. That was assuming they didn’t decide to travel via a land route, for which having Toads and Koopa (and a few friendly metroids) manning watchtowers around the property and flying in the sky was useful for finding both friends and foes approaching.

“Fine,” Merida honest to goodness pouted and crossed her arms as she sat down in the middle of the basket, shifting to get comfortable. Starfire put an oversized bottle of vintage wine in her lap and then pulled out a large bow, the ribbon kind.

“Och heck na, i’m nae aff tae hae a–,” Merida protested in indignation right before Gaige stuck a cupcake in her mouth.

“Shhhh... gifts aren't supposed to talk, silly!” Gaige and Starfire said at the same time. Merida just glared as Starfire tied the bow to her head and then effortlessly picked up the basket to carry it to where Uncle Hoss was expected to park/appear. Thankfully, she still had on her Wedding Breakfast dress on, she will be getting changed after Uncle Hoss gets his gift.

“Well, time to greet the guests,” you said to yourself as you went to get changed into your wedding suit.
