It’s the cops!

Everyone turned to face the door when there were some knocking, and there was sudden silence. The cops had turned up!

One of the officers said in a calm voice “Hmm, since we aren’t in the place yet, anything we heard is admissible. For that conversation, we have good reason to suspect there are **** in the place. That’s grounds to search this place.

“All of you are going to half to stay right here. We’ll also call for paramedics since to check those two over.”

Mark, Zack and Sarah all paled.

The other cop stepped away a bit but kept an eye on things and spoke into his radio.

“Now, before we do search this place, is there anything any of you want to tell us?”

You look at Lisa and she had look in her eyes that tells you she just wants out.

You tell the cop “I don’t know what my step brother Zack was doing on my computer while I served detentions at school, but he seemed pretty determined to get its hard drive from me. Anything of questionable legality is probably in a hidden folder. It’s in my mother’s car’s trunk. You should be able to have someone check the meta data to learn when it was downloaded or accessed, and compare those dates to when I was doing detentions at my current school, or my old one.” you name it.

“It is also possible he used it when I was doing jobs in the neighborhood for money. However, if he did that, I can’t really help you much there.

“While you are searching the place, can you please make sure to turn off or disconnect power points to damaged electricals? I doubt you want to risk evidence being destroyed, and we don’t want to be homeless yet.”

The cop smiled.

“Everyone out of the house and wait on the front porch during the search.”

Mark says “But its dinner time!”

You tell him, “Order some home delivery. I don’t think they will allow us into the kitchen with sharp knives there considering things.”

Other cops soon arrive and Zack snarls at you “Why did you tell him about the hard drive?”

“Because I don’t want to get into trouble for your actions, and they might have noticed it was missing from the computer anyway.”
