Chapter 13
by frogogre1
Where is this new stage that is safe to dance upon?
It's in the the territory of the illusionary.
Mikonanz had left the venomous hounds, as she was now a worshiper of Slaanesh, and they would kill her for that fellow venomous hound or not. She was able to convince several of her fellow veterans snipers who were experienced junkies like herself to come with her. She did this by letting them experience the same high she had been given by the voice, and in return, they gave their loyalty to her.
Now with a small group of veteran snipers that were addicted to chems, she and her group made their way out of the venomous dogs hideout and into the neutral territory that was between several different gangers territory. They made sure to stay quiet and move fast, not drawing attention to themselves and avoiding any confrontations they could as they began their search through the underhive.
As Mikonanz was on the lookout for a new hideout for her and her fellow followers, they looked for a few days, the rest of the gang getting a bit angry with her a few times when she passed over spots that would have been perfect for snipers like them. But sadly, Mikonanz was on the lookout for something specific, as her patron had told her before it left that it wanted something akin to a stage dedicated to it; she had no idea. But she did not; the voice was her supplier, and you don't mess with your supplier.
So she and the rest of the gang kept looking for a place that could double as both a stage and a hideout for her new gang of Slaanesh. Eventually she found a spot in their search that would fit what they were looking for, and so they immediately began to set up shop at the location. Setting up sniper nests and little shrines for the ritual they had been taught by Mikonanz, who had been taught by the voice that would give them a great high.
The location they found was an old factory that had several barely functional elevators, but once they began removing the factory lines and turning them into barricades to defend the location, they would have enough room for a medium-sized stage, Mikonanz guessed. So Mikonanz figured the layout would be stage at the bottom, snippers nestled up top, and living quarters in the middle. The rest of Mikonanz's gang of chem-addicted snipers agreed.
So they swiftly began to move and break down the assembly lines, and soon enough, a series of barricades at the ground entrance made up of the assembly lines were made. They also set up a large stage that took up half of the first floor; it was made up of what salvage they could find. Once the set-up of the stage and barricades were done, a shift for the sniper nest at the top of the factory was set up. Any set in there were to watch for anyone trying to attack them and watch especially for any venom hounds that weren't happy with their desertion.
Mikonanz spent the next few days settling in while getting the lay of the land and who was the nearest ganger threat. Though as time went on, changes began to happen both to Mikonanz's snipers and their base. As they participated in more and more of the Slaanesh ritual of Highness, the girls and the building began to change. The female snipers who Mikonanz had roped in hadn't been told how exactly she got the ritual or how it worked—not that they asked to be eager to be high, but once the symbols of Slaanesh started appearing on them from using the ritual.
Well, they had their answer—not that they ever cared enough to ask the question nor were they ever that devoted to the god emperor in the first place, and considering they were already getting good stuff from Slaanesh Mikonanz's snipers, they were happy to ignore the damnation of their souls. To add to the change, the building began to change itself as the stage she had ordered to be set up started to strengthen with strange runic symbols as well as light up with a strange purple glow.
As Mikonanz was thinking on how to handle the building slowly transforming to suit Slaanesh worship, she felt the voice entering her, and once she focused her full attention on its presence in her, it spoke. "Well, it seems you have done as I asked very well. Now eventually my favorite hunchback will come here to use the stage. You will extend every courtesy, right?" The voice said in a tone of delight at her building of the stage, but that changed when asked to give courtesy to a voice that sounded like it would feed her to something bit by bit and it would take its time digesting her.
"Of course, boss, he'll get whatever he wants." Mikonanz answered with a note of pleading while sheer terror ran amok in her eyes and her heart. The voice was silent for awhile, letting her stew in her fear that she hadn't given a satisfactory answer before it spoke to her again.
"Wonderful, my dear Mikonanz. I'm glad to hear you're so eager to serve my favorite hunch back. In fact, if you do well enough in your service to him, I'll give you a great reward." The voice said this time, sounding like an old female baker wanting to give cookies but knowing she could only do so if the receiver did a good job. The voice then left her, causing Mikonanz to fall slowly to the ground due to her weak knees.
Once Mikonanz got her strength back into her legs, she would immediately begin to gather every sniper and detail what the hunchback looked like. She would also spend the next couple days going over it with every single sniper that made up her gang, making sure they knew that the hunchback was not to have a hair on his head out of place. Though Mikonanz found this to be rather difficult because her snipers were perpetually high, though she get the message across eventually.
So does gisben make it to the base?
