I was waiting right on the front door of Midoriya's house well presented. Very well presented, I had my suit on, I had a gift for her mother and I had the idea that this is a very normal way to present yourself in front of a woman you respect quite a lot, this was not me having some sort of panic attack, perhaps I should've asked Momo if this was the right way to show up at someone's house, I heard the door slowly opening and I stood up straight again, my hands fidgetting with the gift so the cute red bow wouldn't undo, I wanted to impress this woman into making her think I was a proper gentleman and well behaved person.

Instead it was Izuku who opened the door in his uniform. "Hi Ja-" He went completely quiet the moment he saw me, trying to process what to say since he didn't know how to react to the fact I looked like I was going to some sort of ballroom or fancy part. "-ck..." He stared at me making me even more nervous until I spoke up.

"Wh-what the fuck are you looking at?" I quickly covered my mouth, as those words escaped me, I shouldn't have said that, I didn't want to say that at all to be honest, he just kept staring at me.

"S-sorry! Is just- Do you have something afterwards?"

"N-no. Its just that- Izuku let's get this paperwork done, May I come in? Please and thank you"

"Uhm sure?" He was rubbing the back of his neck, I was certainly making a fool out of myself, I was starting to change the colour of both my shirt and pants into something more casual but as I was in the process of changing my clothing she entered the room.

"Izuku, Who was it?" She looked at me before gasping "Oh its Jack! You look wonderful dear! I love your hair, last time I wanted to ask if you could perhaps let me brush it a little? It just looked so messy and all over the place, Sorry am I interrupting?" I stood up quickly and bowed to her before handing her the gift. "Hm what is this?"

"Its a gift! For you ma'am!" I basically announced like if I was part of the military

"Oh let's see what it is" She took it, carefully unwrapping the bow and paper as if to not damage it taking out the box, it was a nice gold pendant "Oh that's cute! Really pretty, what type of bird is this one?"

"Its a mockingbird ma'am, that's also real gold" She froze in that moment alongside Izuku, sure I understand the why this time, but I was not going to tell them I used my quirk on a normal pendant and turn it into gold, apparently that's highly illegal in Japan, but this woman deserved it, besides if she wanted a real one I can always take a loan out of my dad and buy it.

"Th-that's really wonderful and expensive, Are you sure you want me to have this? I bet some pretty girl at school would love it instead"

"I- Yeah I want you to have it ma'am, my dad is rich and money its something material I don't care about due to that and you deserve it for being such a wonderful woman"

"Aw that's nice, I will save this in my room, I will cook something nice for you two later" She then left the room as I sat down next to Izuku who was blushing, staring blankly at the wall due to how I was behaving with her mother.

"Hey Jack? Why do you like my mom so much?" He asked with certain embarrassed tone.

"Dude holy shit, your mom is like an angel, she is the most pure and wonderful person I have ever met, also don't tell this to the other girls. But what the fuck? How is she such a wonderful woman? You said your father wasn't around but you never said your mother was such a great person, Izuku please cherish and love her for as long as she lives and don't you dare dying while doing anything dangerous as a hero, she deserves the best in the world"

"I didn't know you liked her that much after meeting her once"

"I didn't know she was that great, you made her sound so normal or even worse back at the train dude! I would be saying how cool my mom is everyday if she was like her"

"Well, I am sure your mom is great too"

"No, no she is not Izuku."

"Oh. Sorry to hear that."

"Its whatever, let's get this paperwork ready okay... Doyouthinkyourmomlikesme?"

"What?"

"Huh?"

"Hm?"

"The paperwork."

"Ah right!" We started to work together on the paperwork that Aizawa left us, I honestly felt bad sometimes about Deku not being able to go out and patrol with his friends, I asked him before about becoming a cop or a firefighter but he didn't seem to like those ideas either, it was a strange concept for me if I am honest but it was not impossible to understand in a way 'You can't help what your heart longs for' Being a firefighter is heroic in its own way... But you are not a superhero at the end of the day.

Two hours later

Inko was making us some lunch after cooking some nice snacks as well, homemade cookies, she was the perfect example of a mother, I was highly impressed by how nice and wonderful this woman was all the time, its no wonder why Izuku its so selfless and nice, if not a bit awkward and dense at times, he was a complete gentle momma's boy in a way.

"Who wants some lunch!" Inko said before I quickly stood up and went to the kitchen with a smile on my face

"Me please! Need help setting up the table?"

"Oh no! Such a gentleman, let me handle it"

"Okay!" And I went back to my seat and sit down next to Izuku. "Your mom is such a great person Izuku" He smiled awkwardly back at me as he responded

"So you have told me"

"Hope you two are hungry, I tried doing a recipe for some spicy wings but I am not very good with spicy since we had Jack over, so hopefully the sauces its more than good enough, there is also some rice and veggies there for you both. These were your favorite right Jack?"

"..." I tried to hold down my excitement, I wouldn't mind being Izuku's adoptive brother at this point if it meant spending all my days with such a wonderful woman as a mother, yeah I could live happy like this. "I appreciate your meal and I am sure its delicious ma'am, please allow me to clean the dishes afterwards"

"I already know there is no point on declining that, so yes please and thank you. Izuku also All might called a few moments ago I didn't want to interrupt you both, he mentioned something about the measurements for Miss Shield, do you know what he meant by that?" Izuku choked for a moment as he started to eat faster for no apparent reason.

"Oh god it must've been important. Izuku please eat slower"

"Should I ask what's going on?"

"I meem to goum" Izuku said with a mouthful

"No, no you are right you guys keep talking"

"Oh sorry Jack, I hope you don't feel ignored"

"No excuse me ma'am, sorry I didn't mean to make you feel bad I am just trying to be funny and was talking to myself but it was extremely rude of my part making those types of quips, please ignore me." I simped for this woman

"I was doing some important work with Melissa I have to go"

"Wait Izuku!" I said to him.

"Hm?" He turned around as he was still chewing some of the rice

"Thank your mother for the meal"

"Ah! You are right, thanks mom" He bowed quickly before going to grab his backpack "Uhm- Jack if you want leave some of the work there and I will get to it later!"

"Nah, I will make it all don't worry, you deserve a break from paperwork" He smiled and nodded before heading out. Man I can actually be nice! I need to tell this to Tsuyu. "Ma'am may I do the dishes now?"

"So cute you are so gentlemanlike. Are everyone at Nemo like that?" I smirked, it was the biggest smug I've had in my life

"Nope, its just me."

"Well at least let me pick up the dishes once you are done eating"

"Yes ma'am, thank you so much" I kept on eating peacefully alongside her, it felt good to have this feeling of calmness and tranquility in a home, having a family felt quite good- Can't let the others find out, this will be my secret.

After eating I stepped up onto the kitchen to clean the dishes while Inko spoke to me.

"Its nice to see you spend time with him, I appreciate that"

"Oh its nothing, your son is so cheery and wonderful and such a good person, he is what a lot of men should acheive to be-" Except me, I am fine as I am. "By the way what is uhm- No wait sorry first of all, ma'am apologies for asking the following its okay if you don't want to answer since its a sensitive topic I have trouble with family too and I understand, but uhm- What is the deal with you know Izuku's dad?"

"Oh- W-well what did Izuku tell you?"

"Works abroad never visits"

"I see... That's pretty much it then!"

"Oh okay... My uh- My dad was never present when I was growing and my mom was very distant so I understand how that sometimes feels"

"Oh- sorry to hear that"

"Yeaaaaah... Its funny you know" I touched the plate and all the grim came out before washing it with water, repeating this over and over again "When I was young I really never met my dad, but my mother kept talking good about him, I never understood much about that but she talked about him like if he was a great person, I saw him like once a year maybe and it was through video of a phone and it was like 10-15 minutes maybe. He is a terrible person"

"Izuku's dad is just busy- Well its not that busy- Its complicated. When we married I was aware of his job and it was sort of a fixed marriage as well, not that I regret he was a good and charming man back then but he was more married to his work and wanted great financial stability, when we had Izuku there was now the discussion on how to raise it, he said that as a man he didn't have to be there, just provide and that's when it all went down I was let to raise Izuku in Japan for stability and education instead of relocating, he simply didn't return but at least he kept contact with us. It was good"

"Oh... But that's-" I wondered what was the best thing to say "No, that's good, okay."

"Its something the matter?"

"Well- I don't want to get married to avoid all that economical and social bargain there is, I believe love is love and you should love a lot. If I was to marry a woman as wonderful as yourself I would never ever leave you and love you everyday and I believe that- you know a man that is not around is no man at all. You deserve much better"

"You are such a gentleman Jack thank you, but I am happy as I am and I have Izuku that's enough for me"

"S-sure but- No its okay sorry"

"I am glad you are passionate about making me feel better but, you get used to being alone and if you love yourself you can enjoy yourself you see? There is no need for someone to hug or kiss in your life"

"... I don't think I can live that type of life apologies, it makes me a bit angry that you are alone"

"Well not alone, I have a good friend making me company right" It made me happy being called her friend, I couldn't contain myself and hugged her, she was so small but soft at the same time, perfect cuddle partner, she stepped back to look up at me with a bright smile. "Thanks for talking with me but these are things I already came to terms with"

"Yes ma'am" She was so wonderful to me.

"Would you like to go to the livingroom once you are done here"

"I am already done! Say do you like board games?..."
