Intermediate Summoning

It has been a busy morning for you so far on your second day of classes at Ash Forest. As you were getting dressed after your shower, there was a knock on your door. Opening it revealed Professor Dove, smiling brightly and enthusiastic about her own day to come.

She had handed you your updated curriculum and gave you a crash course on a few of the subjects that required some previous knowledge, one of which is your first class of the day, Intermediate Summoning.

She had explained that most people have some type of familiar that they have summoned. The familiar serves as a companion, as well as augments their magical ability. She also expressed her excitement about beginning your training as team captain later that day.

After that, you made your way to the cafeteria for breakfast. Anna-Bell was there, grinning broadly upon seeing you. You returned her grin and teased her a little, saying that she had a smudge of chocolate on her cheek. She giggled and gave you a look that said she was still much more hungry. Anna-Bell handed you a satchel, saying that she had meant to give it to you before leaving her room the previous night.

Taking a quick peek, you grinned when you saw a number of chocolate pussies. You smiled and thanked her, assuring her that you would get her back for earlier.

The two of you chatted for a few more moments, during which Anna-Bell told you that she would like to make more replicas of your cock because she is down to her last one. You both agree to meet up again soon to take care of that. You shared a tender kiss before she returned to work in the kitchen and you found a seat to enjoy your breakfast.

There is a slight nip in the autumn air this morning as you make your way to Intermediate Summoning. The sky is slightly overcast and there is a slight breeze which threaten rain later in the day.

Entering the General Magical Studies building which houses your Intermediate Summoning class, among many other courses, you note that that there is a pretty even mix of house representation. Wyverns conversing cheerily with Cerberus and Pegasus, and even a few Phoenix mingling with other houses.

After referring to the map on the wall near the entrance, you make your way to your class. You receive some friendly smiles from other students as you walk, most of which are pretty girls. You return their smiles and even greet a few as you pass.

Finally, you arrive to the room where your Summoning class will be held. You enter through the open door and find there are a few other students already there, idly chatting as they wait.

You note that like in the hallways on your way here, there are students from each house in this class. There is a dark skinned beauty from Cerberus talking with an equally attractive Phoenix girl who looks to be of Asian descent.

A tall and handsome Wyvern boy is leaning casually against the wall as a smaller and rather awkward looking Pegasus boy talks to him.

You take an empty seat at the front of the room and wait for class to begin.

You pull out the book Professor Dove gave you this morning in preparation for this class and open it to a random page. The book is ‘Mystical Creatures: A complete Index of Magical Beings’. She said it would come in handy in helping you to identify and care for your familiar.

Professor Dove explained that a common misconception people have about summoning a familiar is that the summoner chooses their familiar. In fact, the contrary is true. The familiar chooses the summoner based on the magical energy the summoner projects while performing the ritual.

After about ten minutes have passed, your concentration is interrupted by the professor calling for everyone to take their seats. Closing your book, you look up to find an elderly man in professor’s robes standing at the head of the class.

He looks to be in his seventies, tall and lean with a warm smile. His gray eyes are clear and bright behind his spectacles.

“Good morning class. I am Professor Keller. Today is the beginning of a lifelong partnership for all of you. Each of you will be guided through the ritual to summon your familiar, who shall be with you for the duration of your life. Therefore, I will admonish you now, be mindful of how you treat your familiar. They are completely independent beings with wills of their own, and a poor relationship is not something you want with such creatures. They can make a good deal of trouble for you if they are unhappy.”

Professor Keller continues to instruct the class on channeling their energy for the ritual while he draws the necessary magic circle on the board. He explains that to perform the ritual, each student will have to gradually build energy for the spell while drawing the circle. When the drawing is complete, the student will then place their hands in the designated area of the circle and release the energy they had accumulated. That energy will draw a being from another realm to them and the creature will pass through the temporal portal to this realm. Once the being arrives, it will be irrevocably bound to the summoner, only to return to whence it came after the summoner dies.

“A pretty straightforward process.”, Professor Keller says after his instruction. “This first day, each of you will summon your familiar. After that, we will spend some time on general care. After a couple of weeks of focus on familiars, we will then shift to summoning other beings on a temporary basis. Now, let’s begin, shall we? You.”, Professor Keller points to you. “You’re up. Come to the front of the class and begin the ritual please.”
