Infinity Son

What if the infinity stones chooses and completely integrates to its wielder?

Somewhere in the infinite multiverse ...

Thanos managed a smile. He held the yellow mind stone in his fingers and hovered it over the last vacant receptacle of his giant golden gauntlet. "At last!" he said, "The universe will be perfectly balanced, as all things should be!"

Thanos released the mind stone from his fingers and it promptly socketed itself into his gauntlet, as if pulled by a magnetic ****. The mad titan groaned with approval as his gauntlet hummed with energy.

"Now I shall..." Thanos started to say, but then he paused. "What...? Wait. Something's wrong..."

The humming from the gauntlet kept climbing until it became a high-pitched whine. Each of the infinity stones glowed with immense light.

"I can't.... Something's happening! I can't control it!" Thanos cried.

The high-pitched whine continued to build into an unbearable scream which caused all of Thanos's minions in the vicinity to drop to the ground and writhe in pain. His weaker subjects were dead before they hit the floor. Thanos himself barely managed to stay up. He sank to his knees and held on to his gauntleted arm, gritting his teeth in pain.

"This isn't supposed to... happen!" Thanos gasped. "AAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!"

The golden gauntlet suddenly erupted in a blinding, cataclysmic explosion which instantly disintegrated everyone in the vicinity and proceeded to rip apart the entirety of Thanos's mothership.

The mad titan was no more.
