I'm Too Nice

I gave a slight show of considering my options. The eager grin on Peridot's face never faded for a moment though Lapis's expression seemed to shift from bored to annoyed. With a sigh of what I hoped seemed to be exasperation, I threw my hands up. "Fine. Observe away," I told the pint sized scientist. Seriously though, was I going to say no to my own purchases?

Lapis Lazuli's eyes grew a couple of sizes as Peridot cheered, launching herself at me and hugging me in a move that seemed to surprise herself as much as me. Releasing me, Peridot coughed into her hand and straightened her lab coat. "Excellent," she said, her cheeks gaining a brighter shade of green as she tried to play off her sudden embrace as well as child-like enthusiasm. "Lead the way to your domicile, human."

"Right this way," I replied dryly. "And call me John. Referring as 'human' will get old really fast." I started back toward my home. I heard Peridot start talking into her recorder again. Something about me showing a remarkable...as well as foolish...amount of trust to two aliens. Oh, if only she knew why I was so trusting. That, of course, would ruin my fun and immersion.

Speaking of, Lapis caught up to me, matching my stride. "...I've got my eye on you, bud." I glanced at her. She was giving me a suspicious look. I quirked an eyebrow and she took that as an inquiry as to why...which is what it was. "I don't know a lot about humans, but like Peri said, you just letting us observe you is bizarrely trusting. Makes me wonder why you'd be so eager." Yes, Lapis seemed to be far more worldly than Peridot.

I shrugged off her suspicion. "You said it yourself. She'd just break into my house or something. I'd rather not have a window broken or something," I countered. Grunting, Lapis adjusted her cap. I don't think I convinced her entirely, but that was fine. She was just watching out for Peridot like I was warned. That was cute.

Upon arriving home, I unlocked my door. The instant it was open, Peridot ran inside, taking pictures of everything. "...I'm guessing this is the first human dwelling you've been in." Peridot looked at me with a surprised expression. "Well, yeah. What gave it away?" was her sincere reply. Oh, she was adorable. I heard Lapis chuckle a bit, apparently agreeing with my assessment. Now that I had them here, what should I do? I could just go about my day and let them watch...though if I did that, it could be a while before anything interesting happened. I could try taking a shower. Chances are that neither of them had seen a naked male before.
