Chapter 26

Well that's happening. Anything else interesting in the passing time?
Hinata and Zelda talk
Zelda sighed heavily coming into yet another room that was new to her and needed cleaning. This one had to be some sort of weird **** chamber as all the walls were padded, chairs stacked up like in a theater, and just this big black square in the back of it where all the chairs faced it. She really was done with all the rooms at this point. She decided that she was going to ask Elm about not doing this room, and maybe a few others she purposefully neglected.
Walking back to where he usually is, she didn't find him. Not in his room, in the living room, or in the gaming room. She guessed he was still out of the house. Zelda huffed coming to this conclusion and decided that she was going to take a break. He wouldn't mind too much, not like he would notice with all these damned rooms in this place. She first walked into the kitchen to get a snack to eat, where she saw Hinata the new girl. From what Zelda could see she was gripping onto an instant food cup. Her face looked like it was fighting back tears.
"You alright," Zelda asked genuinely. She knew the first few days were the roughest, having to learn to let go of everything.
"No," Hinata answered honestly with a strained voice, keeping her eyes on the cup. "I have no way of getting home. Everyone important to me doesn't matter anymore apparently. And the pitiful attempt I made to escape ended with me defiling myself despite wanting to keep myself for someone special. I even . . ." She trailed off as Zelda blushed at the mention of her being defiled. Her thoughts went back to that time when she secretly watched the whole thing. Quickly catching herself mentally berated herself for such a reaction. Hinata with one long sigh put the cup back in the cupboards. Zelda knew she had to do something to help this girl.
"I know how it feels too," Zelda explained deciding to give Hinata a half hug with her arm draped over her shoulder. Hinata immediately shifted herself so that her body kept a small distance between the two of them. "The kind of despair that comes into your mind, all that fear. You know, you shouldn't stay in your room as you have been. You'll just go crazy and no one needs to be alone, especially going through a difficult transition." Hinata squirmed her way out of the hug that Zelda put her in and walked backwards slowly.
"What are you trying to say," Hinata asked a little afraid. "I know you work with the guy who owns me." She took an uneasy stance to try and show some power and quickly reiterated "Says he owns me. You are just trying to get me to go back and do those things with him again, aren't you?" Zelda sighed and put her hands on her hips.
"Look, I just was going to ask you if you wanted to spend some time together," Zelda went on trying to get Hinata to calm down a bit. "I think you could use a friend. That is all."
"Well, what do you want to do then," Hinata kept a confined interest in this proposal.
"I don't really know. Do you just want to talk," Zelda suggested offering a reassuring smile. Hinata pursed her lips and began slowly nodding her head.
So they both started to talk to each other. Zelda explained her life in Hyrule, how she had to prepare for the fight for Gannon, keeping the pig demon sealed for a hundred years, and eventually defeating it with Link. Hinata in turn talked about her life in the Hidden Leaf, training to become a shinobi, trying her best to always get better, and a criminal gang called the Akatsuki on the run looking for a man called Naruto. By the way Hinata talked about the guy Zelda could tell that she had some deep feelings toward him. Must have made it much worse finding out she had that ripped out from her grasp.
Zelda was ironically lucky in that department. Coming over here she had no such connections. She never really had time to think about others in such a way preparing for Gannon. Then he came and everyone she knew pretty much died. There was Link but she never thought of him like that, close friends would better describe their relationship.
"Thanks for this," Hinata told Zelda as the conversation came to a close after what must have been a few hours. "It was nice to talk to someone like this after the last few days I have had."
"You're welcome," Zelda replied with a smile. She was happy Hinata had opened up a bit. "It was also nice to finally talk to another girl after so long." Zelda half chuckled to herself as the fact still stung a bit.
A creak of wooden boards sounded out as someone came walking to where Zelda and Hinata had had their conversation. From one of the hallways came the face of a disheveled Elm. He gave off a faraway look as he looked over at them.
