Footsteps closer by the second, what does Olivia do?
Hide!!!
Deftly stepping to the door leading into the foyer, Olivia nestled herself between the door and the wall. Her basket was sitting in the middle of the floor, the washer rhythmically thudding in place as it struggled to rotate everything inside. Otherwise, she was confident the passerby would not suspect a thing.
That confidence collapsed quickly, as Olivia was faced with a dreadful possibility that she did not consider. The other tenant came into the room. She was tucked behind the door, now clutching her sides in terror, as if even the slightest shake would give her away. She heard a washer open, then a second, and made out the sounds of a woman sighing as she heaved clothes from the machines, tossing them into a dryer on the other wall.
Olivia decided to take a risk, a stupid risk of purely stupid curiousity. She tried to sneak a look at the person in the room with her.
She saw a woman about her age, a tattooed girl with a punk-ish look about her. She had blue hair, and a slightly athletic body. She was wearing a black tank top with grey jeans. and had a backpack on her shoulders. The woman did not notice Olivia, but she stood for a moment assessing the washer that was clinging to life with Olivia's clothes inside. She shrugged, bending down to pick up the naked girl's bin off the floor, and setting it on the folding table. The tattooed woman then took her own coins and started up a dryer. Then she took her bag off of her back, hopped up to sit on the table, pulled out a book, and began to read.
Olivia wanted to scream, this was the absolute nightmare scenario. She wanted to spend her night indulging the fantasy she had set herself up for. She was horny, still, and now couldn't do anything about it. Well, maybe she still could, but not without an extremely awkward exchange.
