Hermione Granger

In a school known as Hogwarts, one of the greatest wizarding schools known to man, there was a young wizard with bushy brown hair known as Hermione. She was known for being bright compared to her peers, always in the pursuit of knowledge, so some found it strange she was in Gryffindor instead of Ravenclaw.

Hermione didn't care much what other's thought, studying alone in the Hogwarts Library. The Wizarding World fascinated her, and as a result she itched to learn as much about it as she could. She even read about stuff some of the teachers had yet to learn about, which only showed her curiosity.

As she rummaged through the pages of an old spell book she found herself looking at a certain spell. The writer refused to include the spell, due to the trouble it has caused over the years, but this spell had the ability to duplicate any living thing. This caused a bit of trouble in the Wizarding World however, with many disputes towards who was the original and questions on how to ethically deal with duplicates. As such the spell became forbidden, and no one remembered it.

Hermione scoffed and put the book away. It was clearly just some old tale, there was no way such a thing actually happened. As she reached out for the next book her vision started to blur. Her eyes felt droopy and her head started to spin. For a moment Hermione starts to realize that these were some of the effects of the spell the book listed.

In reality this wasn't a spell. A virus from another dimension had infected the witch and claimed her as its first victim in this world. Hermione's body eventually split, duplicating and becoming more than what it was before.
