What happens when they get to the Hospital Wing?
Harry gets a new name
It was common knowledge that word traveled at lighting speeds around the corridors of Hogwarts Castle. Want to keep a secret? Step one, DON'T COME TO HOGWARTS. Nothing stays a secret for long at Hogwarts. Though Harry always thought that where he, or rather now, she, was concerned, the truth was often left behind as word began to fly around.
Either way, Madam Pomfrey must have caught word of what happened, because she was waiting for Emily and Harry outside of the hospital wing to guide them to the private ward, with was one floor down. Once they were there, Madam Pomfrey pulled Harry to one of the beds before closing the curtain and asking her questions about how she ended up like this while examining her body. The curtains of the private ward were charmed so that each bed could basically become their own room. Once the curtains around a bed were closed, no one on the outside of the curtain could hear or see anything going on on the other side.
This meant Emily had **** but stand there, next to the curtain, and wait for the others to show up. With the way word traveled around Hogwarts, Hermione, Ron and Sirius would have no doubt already heard what had happened to Harry and were already on their way. If Emily was lucky, Ginny would have also heard, and prevented Ron from coming here. Emily recalled her second year, when she and Hermione had somehow manged to get themselves turned into nekos. Emily didn't want Ron here acting towards Harry as he had towards her after her own polyjuice mishap.
Like I said, it didn't long at all for Hermione, Ginny and Sirius to hear about Harry and show up. Thank fully for Emily, Ron hadn't come. Emily knew Harry would have to deal with Ron's jokes about her being a girl now at some point, but Emily was hoping she could delay that until Harry was a little more configurable with the fact.
"I heard what happened and came sight away." Hermione said, she looked frazzled. Hermione looked around then added: "Where is he? Or her, I guess."
Emily pointed towards the curtain. A moment later, Madam Pomfrey open the curtain and walked over to the group. Harry remained on the bed, huddled in her oversized robes.
"Miss Potter claims her transformation was most likely caused by a polyjuice potion she was attempting to brew for practice. I have preformed an examination of her body. As far as I can tell, Miss Potter has become a female completely in everything but mind. Though Miss Potter has confirmed that she has been having feminine thoughts since her accident. As far as when she might turn back, I can not find any magic residue of her transformation anywhere on her body. In essence, it is as if she was always like this. I'm not sure when, if ever, she may change back. It is probably best to prepare for the event that Miss Potter will be like this for the rest of her life. She has mentioned that she wouldn't like to be stuck here longer then she has to, and I have no reason why I'd need to keep her here. Miss Potter is free to return to her dorm as soon as she is ready too." Madam Pomfrey explained.
"I can pass that onto the Headmistress if you wish to get back to your other patents." Sirius offered. Madam Pomfrey nodding kindly and left for the main wing.
Hermione was the first to speak to Harry.
"Harry, are you feeling alright."
"Ron would probably make a joke right now about me being anything but 'alright'." Harry said, attempting a bit of a joke.
"I asked Ron not to come. Didn't think it would be a good idea having him around with you like this. At lest, not before we figure things out. I mean, you remember the way he acted when Emily and I became nekos." Hermione said, trying to comfort Harry.
"Yeah, fair point." Harry said, then added. "Pomfrey thinks I should take a feminine name to use while I'm like this."
"Humm, maybe a flower name? Don't all the girls in your family have flower names." Ginny offered.
"Good point, Gin. Mum even named me Forsythia, even though that's only my middle name. But I'm sure we can find a good one for you, Harry." Emily said.
"Holly." Sirius stated. The other four looked at him.
"It was what your mother was going to name you if you had ended up being a girl." Sirius added.
"Well that's good enough for me." Emily claimed.
"Well, I think Holly is a beautiful name for you, Harry." Hermione said, stroking back Harry's, or rather Holly's, hair.
"Yeah, I guess." Harry said, still in a grim mood.
"Maybe it would be best if Harry, sorry, Holly, went and got cleaned up. While the rest of us figure out how she got like this and if it can be reversed." Sirius suggested.
"I'll take Harry, I mean Holly, up to the tower and help wash and change into something more appropriate." Emily said.
"I'll come too." Hermione said.
"I love you Mione, but you would be more useful in helping to examine the potion, then you would be needless fussing over your boyfriend, or I suppose it's now girlfriend." Emily said.
"Oh, don't even start, Em." Harry, or rather Holly, said.
"I'll go with Hermione." Ginny stated.
"Good, in the meantime, I will inform our headmistress of what has happened, though I'm sure she will have already heard." Sirius said.
Do you really think Holly is going to get a say in the matter?
