“Gwen Stacy.”

You say it without hesitation. Your heart races the moment the name leaves your lips.

The genie raises an eyebrow. “Which one?” he asks, voice oozing with smugness. “The classic one where you cuck Peter Parker, or the modern one where you cuck Miles Morales?”

You blink. “The modern one,” you say after a moment. “Spider-Gwen. Or, uh, Ghost-Spider, right?”

The genie snaps his fingers and a cosmic diagram, like something out of a Doctor Strange fever dream, floats in the air between you. “Multiverse, kid,” he says, waving a glowing finger through the swirling timelines. “Infinite versions of every character. You want punk rock Gwen? Ballet Gwen? Shonen anime Gwen? They're all out there. But sure, modern Gwen it is.”

You nod slowly. “Wait... are there really that many versions of her?”

“Yup,” he replies, floating backward in a lazy spin. “Infinite multiverse. Infinite possibilities. Infinite Gwens.”

He stops spinning and gives you a cheeky grin. “Anyway, here’s the deal: Gwen will believe she’s been magically transported to your dimension, one that she thinks is part of the greater Marvel Multiverse. She’ll think she lost her powers. And that the only way to protect the multiverse from collapsing is to stay here with you.”

You raise an eyebrow. “That sounds kinda... manipulative.”

The genie shrugs with a laugh. “And yanking a waifu out of her home world isn’t?”

You go quiet.

Fair point.

“Anyway,” he says, stretching his arms with theatrical flair, “here’s your waifu.”

There’s a sudden burst of light, pink and electric white. The air vibrates like a guitar string pulled tight. A circle of glowing runes appears midair, and through it steps her.

Short blonde hair under a hooded white and pink suit, her sharp eyes darting around in confusion. She looks exactly like you remember her from the screen... except now she’s breathing the same air as you. Real. Alive.

“Wha-? Where... am I?” she murmurs, looking around. Her suit flickers and vanishes, replaced by her high school uniform. She looks disoriented, but not afraid.

You stare, stunned.

She looks at you. “You. Do you know what dimension this is?”

You open your mouth, but nothing comes out.

Gwen Stacy is standing in your room.

And she’s yours.

Live-in girlfriend. Multiversal canon event. No powers, no way back.

Just you... and Gwen.

The genie yawns. “Well, my job here is done. Have fun, lovebirds. Try not to destroy the timeline.”

And just like that, he vanishes in a puff of smug stardust, leaving behind only the faint smell of ozone... and the waifu of your dreams.
