So does anyone try to interfere with the making of the cloud giant?

Green lanterns of china

Chapter 133 by frogogre1

China was a very interesting country. They were proud and cheered for their greatness whenever they could. They spoke of history and accomplishments to the world as if they were the best and first to do anything. Though the truth was very different, as none of these things were true. Their inventions were ripoffs of better things.

Their history was not even theirs. As they borrow the legacy of people long gone. They speak of dynasties they have no claim to and of great warriors and generals of the best with no bloodlines today acting as if these great heroes of old were still leading China. No, their only connection to these people was happening to live in the same area they did.

So it should surprise no one that when America gained a Justice League, they made a copy of their own. When they found out how great Batman was, they made a Batman Academy in hopes of making a Batman that was equal. When they saw so many green lanterns come from America, they made their own green lantern core. Though it was nowhere near as great.

For starters, they had no way of creating the advanced alien rings all lanterns used. So as per usual, they made a cheaper rip-off of the rings. A special suit that could create light constructs to a degree and gave them the ability to fly. The Chinese lantern core had never been taken as seriously as the Chinese justice league, but now that might change.

Two members missing and two down for the moment from mental and physical injuries meant they were in no condition to finish what they had started. So those that were in charge of the lanterns of China sent in their green lanterns to take advantage of their rivals' current weakness. They flew in formation to the Himalayas at their top speed.

Many a picture and video was taken of them heading where the Chinese justice league had fled. The word was getting around fast in China, especially as the Chinese official news stations were boosting coverage of it. The claim was put out by the lanterns around China; they would succeed were their justice league had failed.

They passed into the mountains and came immediately under attack by red lighting. They evaded as they moved forward, holding green shields in front to protect themselves as they closed in on the target area. Once in the red thunder clouds, they tried to disperse them with waves of rockets. It didn't work; the thunder clouds were sticking together far harder than should have been possible.

A group of experienced heroes would have adapted, trying different methods to try and get rid of the red thunderstorm. Sadly, in this situation, the lanterns were expected to be heroes in theory but weren't in practice. As they were trained as a military unit, they acted as such. When presented with a problem they couldn't destroy with conventional firepower, they simply used more conventional firepower.

What made it even worse was they aren't even that creative using conventional fire power. As they just spammed green rockets again and again. This was mostly due to him being chosen to be in the lantern. As they were all the same patriotic in the box thinker. Which made it rather difficult for them to come up with an out-of-the-box solution to their current problem.

The no-ending RPG spamming went on for a while. It was finally stopped as cloud angels rammed into them from behind, their red lighting held high in their hands. The lanterns responded quickly, returning red lighting with ammunition made out of energy projections. The skies of the Himalayas had turned into a dogfight of lantern vs. cloud angel.

Kgbeast was not having a great time with his current mission. Usually by this point he would have left a trail of bodies that were his target and innocent bystanders. The problem was he couldn't do that at this moment, for one, he had no firearms and would have to fight through half an underwater city to get any that could work were he was.

Now he had thought of using Diana Turner's shark army. She had given birth to a herd of thousands of sharks of varying shapes and sizes. The aggressive fist fighter Jéssica Hobbs would lead their charge while he acted elsewhere. The problem was the city had far too many defenses. It had both magical and technological defenses.

The technical was easy for him to see; a series of turrets, both hidden and in plain view, were everywhere in Atlantis. The other problem was that Atlantis was a mystical city, so there were no doubt more magical defenses, but Kgbeast had zero experience in magic, so he had no idea what they could be and what they could do.

So in total he couldn't use the shark hoard against Atlantis, as the shark hoard would be torn apart by the defenses of Atlantis. He himself would usually try to infiltrate, but he was a crab man now, which made stealth a tad bit difficult for him. Not to mention while he could notice technological surveillance, he had no idea what magic surveillance would be like, so he had no idea how to get by it.

He was having to think over the problem again and again, which wasn't helped by his fellow fishman army comrades. As both Jéssica and Diana were too eager to get their master back. They would yell at him to stop being a bitch and order a charge at Atlantis. He ignored them both and kept trying to come up with a way to get to Aquaman.

He would normally try to get Aquaman at his weakest to be sure of a kill. Sadly, he didn't have one of those, as Aquaman was always in his city working with his people on something, or he was out with the Justice League. Kgbeast was stronger and tougher than he had ever been, but he knew he couldn't take on the league by himself.

Superman alone would crack him open easily enough. So his best chance was Atlantis, but Atlantis was proving not an easy pick either. His mind went over his options to breach the tough nut that was Atlantis. He was still not getting anywhere, and then he felt something—a kind of strange familiarity. He followed this feeling wanting to know what was causing it immediately.

He moved fast underwater, his strange humanoid crab body moving fast in the water. He soon reached where the feeling was leading him. He looked on in surprise as he felt a strange connection to a yellow chemical spilling into the water from the beach. He grabbed a bit and studied it, trying to figure out what it was doing here. It took him a moment to realize what it was not only was the water surrounding him making it harder to identify, but he'd never had much ability with the sciences.

He could memorize a dozen different acids and poisons, but he couldn't fit the life of him to tell you why they worked as they did. He came to the sobering realization it was a concentrated version of mustard, which explained why the ocean water hadn't already broken it down. There was only one reason why he would be feeling a connection to mustard.

It must be from his commander. Only Condiment Wizard could or would make mustard like this. With him dead for the moment, his other agents in Gotham must have kept making it somehow. This realization that it was possible to make magic condiments without a condiment wizard, though he probably needed some of the original magical condiments to do it.

This train of thought led to a second realization: if the other agent could make more of the mustard concentrate, then he could make more of the condiment that created the fishman army. He looked around himself and saw what he needed to get into Atlantis. Once he figured out how to extract tartar sauce from the other two and multiplied the mustard extract, he would have everything he needed to get to Aquaman.

The army of Atlantis would no doubt find it difficult to protect their king while fighting fishmen that have risen from the dead. As well as their fellow guards, who were suddenly blond turning on them without warning. A cruel look comes over Kgbeast's face, his mandibles biting out in eagerness for the blood to come.
