Going with the scientist

In the end, I decided to possess Kira. She would be much easier to possess, far more frail physically and usually a shut-in. No one would bother us.

I went to her office and found her sitting on the couch, writing something on her notepad. She was indeed the shady woman I followed the night of my transformation.

It really is her… I thought before trying to give her a cordial smile. "Good evening, Kira."

Kira looked at me, annoyed as usual. "Harper? What do you want? I'm busy right now."

“I wanted to ask you something." I said, walking closer.

“What?"

"Can I use you for a bit?"

“W-what are y-" She started in a confused tone.

Before she could react, I grabbed her wrists to pin her down and kissed her, quickly entering her body. Harper fell **** on the couch, beside Kira. The process was pretty fast, and I found myself in control of Kira soon after.

I stood up, quickly glancing at my new body. She's not bad. I feel like I'm even thinking faster.

Harper regained consciousness and groggily got up. "Oww... What happened?"

"You went to see me in my office, but suddenly fell ****, Harper." I lied swiftly.

She was confused and looked around for a few seconds. "W-what? W-why am I here?" She held her forehead.

"I don't know. If you're not feeling well, you should maybe take a break." I shrugged disdainfully.

Harper seemed to think for a brief moment, before answering. "You might be right… Sorry about that, Kira."

She left, and I could finally go explore in peace. I grabbed Kira's security card and headed straight for the restricted area. I was pretty excited to find what was inside. The restricted area was a long corridor going deep underground.

What do they have to hide?

I searched in my host's memories. Her mind was such a mess that it took a bit of time. But when I found out, I was aghast… “A-A... demon? They... have a demon... locked up?"

They captured a demon a while ago and have been using her for their research and experiments ever since. The whole point of that was officially to find ways to enhance mankind, but it was mostly so that the guy could get even richer by selling his findings to the various militaries of the world… The book I found and stole alongside the chemicals was a book detailing different kinds of demons and how to summon them....

"I... I need to see it..."

I walked at a fast pace towards the cell in which the demon was contained. I opened the door, and saw it…

The demon…

She was a lot smaller than my former self, maybe about thirty centimeters shorter. She was wearing an elegant antique dress with patterned pantyhose and thick heeled mary janes making her look like a gothic lolita. Her hair was up to her shoulders and a light purple, almost grayish. I could have easily been fooled into believing she was a normal young woman, but her slit pupils were proof she was real…

I slowly approached her. Despite being a demon, she seemed harmless. She was tied up and ****, barely able to move her head to look at me.

"You're the demon?"

She slowly raised her head "You… You're... the one... I... saw..."

I tilted my head. "What do you mean?"

"You're... not that woman..." She weakly muttered.

I was stunned. "H-how did you know?"

I suddenly felt something sting me on the back of my neck... "W-what's... that..."

I fell on my knees, my strength leaving me...

"Seize her! Gag her and put her in the containment cell! Under no circumstances should the gag be removed!" A familiar voice shouted from behind me.

H-how… I fell on the ground, my limbs unable to move anymore.

Before falling ****, I caught a glimpse of the people behind me… Harper and... the chief of security… Liliana.

You... bitch… I lost consciousness, cursing my own stupidity...

When I woke up, I noticed that I was myself again, and that I was in front of a pair of giant wooden doors surrounded by roses. No matter where else I looked, there was just a giant white void. It felt like a dream.

"W-where am I?"

The doors opened with a loud creak, and I saw a shadowy figure behind them, staring at me with glowing red eyes from the darkness inside.

“W-who are you?"

In a fraction of a second, the figure appeared in front of me, hugging me. It was the demon I just met…

“You are the one I saw. A monster with a human soul..." She said softly.

"W-what do you mean?"

She grinned. "You possessed that ginger woman, and then the scientist, didn't you?"

"H-how did you know?"

She giggled, as if I said something silly. "Because I saw you through the plants, of course. I didn't expect to see a being as unique as you. It's a shame you were caught." Her laugh then turned into a sinister cackle. "But don't worry, all these filthy humans will soon be dead."

"W-what? W-why?"

A sadistic grin crept up on her face. "They don't deserve to live, and I'd be happy to have you help me punish them. I'm too weak to keep this up for much longer, but we'll meet again."

"Wait!"

She snapped her fingers, smiling at me. And everything went dark.
