Chapter 13

What to do now?
Go to the harbour
After hearing what’s happening, you and the girls quickly get up and put on your adventuring gear. Even Charlie equips some spare gear you gave her to protect herself.
While you’re getting ready, Marine opens the door, yawning.
“What’s all this noise?” she mumbles sleepily.
“A monster came from the sea, it seems. We’re going to deal with it,” you reply.
“Wait… what?!” she shouts, then quickly cups her hands, summons water, and splashes her face to wake herself up.
“I wanna come too!” she says.
“It’s dangerous, Marine. I don’t want you getting hurt” you answer.
“Hey! Maybe I’m inexperienced, but I can fight! And Charlie’s an amateur too, and she’s coming!” she protests.
“…Fine. You can come—but be careful,” you sigh.
Marine cheers, and you all rush outside.
Just as you’re about to start running, an Abra suddenly teleports in front of you, startling both Charlie and Marine.
Seeing an Abra musu inside a village is unusual.
“Follow… me…” she murmurs.
You don’t know why, but you feel like you can trust her. Abras rarely approach people—you doubt she means harm.
“Alright. We’ll follow you” you say.
She looks slightly strained, as if being here is taxing her.
“Are you sure, Erik? She seems suspicious” Midori whispers.
“I think… we can trust her. I don’t feel any hostility,” you reply.
The Abra quickly prepares a spell.
“…Teleport.”
In an instant, you all vanish from your doorstep and reappear at the harbor entrance.
“Wow, thanks—” you start, but the Abra is already gone.
“Cool! She brought us here instantly!” Charlie says, amazed.
“Oh god!” Marine suddenly screams.
A massive crab monster—resembling a Kingler musu's lower body—is rampaging through the harbor, smashing boats, while soldiers struggle against smaller crab creatures nearby.
“Looks like a real problem. Let’s move,” you say, summoning your dual blades.
You charge forward, cutting down crab after crab, your blades heating up as they slice through their shells.
Midori and Marine clear the path with Razor Leaf and Water Gun, while you instruct Charlie to help evacuate civilians.
It doesn’t take long to stabilize the situation—until suddenly—
A barrage of bubbles rains down on you.
You all dodge, except for Marine, who tanks the hits with her sturdy shell.
The attack came from the Kingler monster.
It’s approaching.
You dash forward, igniting your blades, and unleash a cross slash—just like before.
The flaming arcs hit the beast… but barely damage it.
“It’s really tough! Keep attacking!” you shout.
Midori, Charlie, and Marine bombard it with elemental attacks, but the creature shields itself with its massive claw.
You try to close in, but it blocks your strikes with its other claw while advancing toward the others.
In a brief clash, you block a strike—but it kicks you away, sending you sliding across the ground.
The monster reaches the others and raises its massive claw to crush them.
Midori and Charlie dodge—but Marine stumbles and falls.
The claw comes down—
CLANG!
Marcy appears out of nowhere, slamming her hammer into the claw and deflecting the attack.
“You’re always right on time!” you shout.
“You gotta have style with entrances,” Marcy grins.
“Now let’s kick this bastard's crusty ass!” she shouts.
The beast recoils, roaring in anger, then unleashes an even stronger storm of explosive bubbles.
You take cover while Midori raises a wall of plants to shield everyone—but it won’t last long
You’re about to charge out and distract it when—
Something else bursts from the water.
A graceful, serpentine figure with shimmering azure scales rises into the air. She wears a flowing kimono, and a katana rests at her side.

“Blackthorn Sword Style, Second Technique: Dragon Claw!”
She draws her blade, now glowing with deep blue energy, and darts forward—striking the beast’s arm that is connected to the bigger claw and wounding it badly.
“An opening!” you shout.
You switch to your Bulbasaur weapon and rush in.
The blade extends like a whip—you build momentum and strike.
With a powerful slash, you sever the creature’s massive claw.
It crashes to the ground.
Enraged, the beast goes berserk and charges toward the group—
But suddenly, the Abra reappears in midair.
Using her psychic power, she lifts the severed claw and hurls it onto the monster’s head, stunning it.
“Now! Hit its legs!” you shout.
Midori, Charlie, and Marine fire their attacks at the creature's legs, bringing the creature down.
You exchange a glance with Marcy.
Then you both charge.
Jumping together, you strike—blade and hammer in perfect sync—crushing its shell and finishing it.
The monster dissolves shortly after.
You regroup.
“That was tough, but good work, everyone,” you say.
"“I thought I was going to die for a second—I mean, of course the great Marine would never fall!” she quickly corrects herself, making the others giggle.
“You really don’t get bored around here,” Marcy laughs.
You look around for the Abra—but she’s gone again.
“Impressive work, fellow warriors,” a calm female voice says.
You turn and see that it’s the serpentine girl from before.
Now that you can see her clearly, you, Midori, and Marine freeze in shock.
“A… Dratini?!” you all say.
“Greetings. My name is Sigfreya, and—”
“Sig! What are you doing here?” Marcy interrupts, rushing forward and hugging her, an hug so tight that she lift Sig from the ground.
“Hello, Marceline. I was traveling for training and ended up hunting those creatures troubling the nearby waters” Sigfreya explains after Marcy puts her down.
"“You… know her?” you ask.
“Yeah man, since we were kids,” Marcy replies.
“As I was saying…” Sig continues, stepping forward and bowing gracefully.
“My name is Sigfreya Ryuzaki, descendant of the Blackthorn clans. It is a pleasure to meet you.”
“I’m Erik. These are Midori, Charlie, and Marine,” you reply.
“W-wait—you said Ryuzaki?! As in Lance Ryuzaki?!” Midori gasps.
“Exactly. She’s the daughter of the strongest man around,” Marcy says.
Lance Ryuzaki—one if not the strongest man in the region, and the main representative of the dragon clans in the Kanto region. It's also well known that he is married to a dragonite musu.
“…That’s a lot to process for one night,” you sigh. “Let’s head back and talk tomorrow.”
“Yeah, you can stay in my room tonight, Sig,” Marcy says.
“I would be grateful,” Sigfreya replies.
You all return home.
That night, as you sleep, a voice echoes in your mind.
“We’ll talk later… in private.”
It sounds just like the Abra.
The next day starts. What will happen?
