Karyn couldn't let go the book, as time passed by, she happily let herself change fully into an imp. And with that came some nice advantages. "So when can we move in a new place ?"

Karyn jumped almost out of the furniture.

"What ?? But the book is in my apartment how will we get new members ??"

Meanwhile, in Karyn's apartment time passed, the tome, like everything else, was starting to get dusty. When finally, the door opened and the landlord came in. A man in his fifties dressed in weary clothes, and with a days old white beard.

"Hello ? Karyn ? You there ?"

He took a look around and smelled the air.

"Geez... How long wasn't it ventilated here ?"

He walked to the window and opened it. With the state of the apartment, no one have been there for weeks. Did the girl run away ? Everything was there... She didn't move out...

"Shit, I don't want to deal with the cops..." He grumbled.

As he assessed everything in the room, with all the intention to sell everything and rent the place again, a redhead took a look inside. She wasn't looking much older than twenty and had big green eyes with black eyeliner. Her wavy hairs were attached in a pony tail and she was wearing a jean micro short, a T-shirt dragon **** and running shoes. She had some nice curve, not being really slim, and had visible freckles.

The girl walked in and spotted the tome on the table. Picking it up, she turned it around with curiosity.

"What are you doing here Chloe ?" The landlord asked with a bit of anger in his voice.

The girl turned to him, not scared at all.

"I saw you coming in and I wanted to see the apartment, but she left isn't it ?"

"Not your goddamn problem ! Get out !"

The man showed her the door and she quickly left, the book in hand.

"Hey ! Where do you go with that ?" He asked. "Come back here !"

But Chloe was already running away. She quickly went few blocks down and entered an abandoned building where she was squatting. In one of the room she had a sleeping bag and a camping kitchen, plus the few possessions she had.
