"Ellie..." Joel starts somberly "If we go down this route there is no going back. Just so you know. It will be impossible for me to return to normal, you get it?"

Ellie merely nods at first and then shrugs her shoulders "Well it's not like we can go back to normal anyway. It would always be awkward between us. If we tried to pretend it away and I don't want that."

Oh god how mature she sounds "Okay then Ellie, I'm going to put it into you straight so you know what Pandora's box you'll be opening. I won't be able to settle for anything less than full on proper sex. It will eventually end up there anyway and I want you to know and be onboard with that from the start, so you don't feel tricked.

Ellie blushes hard and nods again. Until she realizes one thing and looks up with wide eyes "But but what if I get pregnant you know? We can't let that happen." Other than that she was very expecting of Joel to want proper sex, she just didn't expect for him to come out with that. So bluntly, oh well that's her Joel for her, always to the point. Part of what she loves and hates about him.

"Oh yes that will be trouble some...." She forgot that Ellie is young and ripe. Unlike Tess and older women that can far more reliably keep away from that to the point where it's safe enough. Plus if it do happen and older woman it's nothing wrong with that. If Ellie ends up knocked up that means big trouble.

Ellie skips in with a comment "I would be prepared to do that with you otherwise. Like that's very much obvious but I'm sorry Joel I just can't risk that and don't think you can either, right? Like is there a way to do it safely then it's a-okay with me."
