After the poor sales of the 11th gen, Ford tried manufacturing a hardtop coupe looking like the Shelby GR-1 mixed with the 11th generation T-Bird.

It was a success as it looked more like a Mustang which intised buyers, along with the roaring v8s and luxery finishes.
