First Mission

It was a sweltering day in Konoha, and team 10 was feeling its full effect while lounging around in their training grounds. Asuma Sensei was uncharacteristically late, and they were left to their own devices. While Shikamaru would be perfectly happy to have a nap at any time of the day, Ino was in a more restless mood and roped him in to test her abilities; to see how much she is able to use her Mind Possession Jutsu on a shadow clone. While Shikamaru closed his eyes to create his shadow clones (all the while grumbling, of course) and Ino focused the entirety of her attention to at him, I was able to focus all my attention at her.

As always when using her technique, Ino had her back arched and hands outstretched, and my eyes, as always, fell on her toned, bare midriff, sweltering under the unmerciful sun. How come I haven't fucked her after all this time? the thought came to me whenever I checked her out and leaving me frustrated as ever.

Suddenly, hearing Shikamaru's shadow clone vanish with a whoosh I looked up to see the reason - Asuma hurriedly walking into the training grounds. I quickly looked away, hoping he hadn't noticed where my eyes had been.

"No training today guys," Asuma stated. "Lady Hokage wants to meet us."

Soon enough, we were standing in front of our resplendent Hokage, who updated us on our next mission.

"Do you know of Mrs. Wu?" Tsunade inquired.

Shikamaru, usually the proud backbencher, surprisingly spoke up. "That old hag who's filthy rich and rubs it off on everyone's face? Yeah, she's a real pain in the ass."

Tsunade's mouth twitched with the ghost of a laugh, before she put her mask of professionalism back again.

"Well, she loves going to Yugakure, the Village Hidden in Hot Water, to waste her money there. Recently, however, she has begun to lose more than she's used to in the casinos there. She's confirmed that Mr. Yamamoto, who owns most of the casinos in Yugakure, is stealing off of her."

"No offense, my lady, but what does this have to do with us?" Asuma asked, impatient to get back to their training.

"It will be up to you to see if Mr. Yamamoto is corrupt or not."

"What?" Asuma demanded, standing up in indignation. "Why are you sending my team to do it? That's barely a C rank mission!"

"Indeed," Tsunade replied coolly. "But Mrs. Wu is ready to spend good money in order to have the one of the best available teams in Konoha helping her out."

"With all due respect, Lady Hokage, with trouble brewing with the Akatsuki, do you really think sending my team on a petty mission is wise? Wouldn't that time be better spent on training?"

"Your army can be the best trained in the world, but if you don't have the necessary wealth to fund the war, you will still lose."

A staring match ensued between the Sarutobi and the Senju that lasted for a few seconds, before the former grudgingly conceded. "Fine. But I'm taking my girlfriend with me. If we have to go to Yugakure, might as well make a holiday of it."

"As long as you finish the mission first."

Woo Hoo!" Ino shouted, punching the air. "Vacation in the hot springs!"

"It's a mission, Ino," Tsunade warned.

"Don't worry Lady Tsunade! We can finish it in a day and spend the rest of the time getting some well - deserved relaxation time!"

Tsunade sighed but let it go. Ino's enthusiasm could be very contagious if she wants it to be. "Very well. You are dismissed. Get ready for your mission, you will depart tomorrow. Choji, stay, please."

The rest of my team went out, now quite used to my one - on - one lessons and conversations with the Hokage. Once the door was closed, Tsunade got up with a sigh, dropping her Hokage persona. She sat on her table, facing me. "Well, Choji? How is your training going?"

"I keep practicing my jutsus like you asked Lady Tsunade. I just wish we could start practicing together soon, like we used."

That made her laugh... and was that a blush on her cheeks, or am I being too optimistic?

"I too want to get back to that very soon, but the work has simply been overwhelming."

"Isn't Shizune helping you out?" I asked.

"She's still sick," Tsunade said in a quick manner that discouraged further questions.

"Well, let her know that I wished her my best. Who knows how long this mission will take."

Tsunade smiled. "You'll love Yugakure. It's right up your ally. But I trust you'll be careful?"

"Of course, Lady Tsunade."

"Good. You are far too precious... uh - I meant for my research. Be careful!" With that Tsunade leaned forward and kissed me on the cheek.

I was rooted on the spot in shock, rubbing my cheek in shock. Tsunade, however, had already reverted back to her Hokage self, sitting behind her desk and returning to her paperwork. "That'll be all, Choji."

I turned around in silence, holding my cheek and grinning like an idiot. I cannot wait till Tsunade is completely within my grasp.
