Finish Your Coffee
Sometime around three she woke hungry. The room was dark except for parking-lot light through the blinds. She slid out from under his arm. Padded naked to the kitchen — the chain, the plug, nothing else. Goosebumps rose on her arms and thighs in the cold apartment. She found the light — harsh fluorescent, buzzing — and opened the cabinet. Peanut butter. A spoon from the drawer.
She sat on the counter. The linoleum was cold under her bare ass and she unscrewed the jar and ate from it, one leg dangling, the other folded under her on the counter, the chain catching the fluorescent light. Hair a mess. Tits bare. The plug still seated. A smear of dried cum on her inner thigh she’d stopped noticing. She looked like she lived here.
Ray came out of the bedroom — boxers pulled back on from the floor, nothing else. Sleep-creased and ruddy, the gut hanging, his hair pressed flat on one side, bags under his eyes deep and grey. He looked at her on his counter — naked, eating peanut butter, the gold word at her throat, that absurd pretty face under bad light — and his expression was unguarded in a way she’d never seen. Not calculating. A man looking at something he wanted at three in the morning with no audience. His eyes dropped to her bare ass on the Formica, to the silver between her cheeks when she shifted, and for a second she thought he’d turn her around and take her right there over the sink.
He ran a glass of water for her and poured himself a finger of Jameson. Stood between her knees while she ate — his belly against her inner thigh, his hand on her knee. Wives sat on counters. This was not her counter. She was sitting here in nothing but his necklace like she lived here. That was worse than anything they’d done in the bed.
“Check your phone,” he said. Quiet.
She looked at him. He rolled one heavy shoulder. “I’m wondering too.”
She slid off the counter, went to the living room, dug the phone out of the bag. The screen lit her face in the dark. She stood there for a moment, then came back and climbed up beside the jar again.
“Nothing,” she said.
“Nothing.”
“He’s seen it by now.” Ray turned the whiskey in his hand. “A man doesn’t sleep after a picture like that. He’s sitting in your kitchen right now, or your office, with that photo on his screen, doing the math on every part of it.”
She didn’t answer. Spooned peanut butter.
“Silence,” Ray said. “That’s data.”
“I know what it is.” A little edge. “It’s mine to read.”
He let that sit. Drank. The fluorescent buzz filled the space where a push would have been.
“What happens now?” he asked. Not the salesman — quieter. Maybe the first genuine question he’d asked her all night.
She looked at the jar. “Now I find out how far he goes before he’s honest.” Level, like a remediation timeline. “He’s had the truth since November. So every day from here is him choosing. I keep sending him things to choose around. When he’s ready, he tells me.”
“And if the picture doesn’t do it?”
“Then I go further.”
Ray laughed once — quiet, real. “Remind me never to lie to you.”
“You lie to me all the time.”
“Not anymore.” He said it simply, and she couldn’t tell if it was a vow or a pitch, and that was the most honest thing about him.
She studied him. “You have ideas? For going further.”
“Always.” He turned the glass in his hand. “He tells the truth when lying stops working for him. That’s every negotiation I’ve ever sat in, Blondie — people come clean at the exact moment it costs more to keep lying. Your job is to keep raising the price. Mine is to make sure you enjoy the work.” He sipped. “We’ll think of something.”
“You’re not going to tell me.”
“Not at three in the morning, I’m not.” He set the glass down and looked at her — naked on his counter, peanut butter on the spoon, the gold word at her throat, his belt’s prints on her wrists — and the look was unguarded again, the three-in-the-morning one, no audience. “Come back to bed, Blondie.”
She went. They went back to bed, and she slept under his arm until morning.
---
Grey light through cheap blinds. Late February cold pressing against the glass. The commercial strip was waking up outside — a car door, the distant hydraulic sigh of a delivery truck, someone’s dog barking twice and stopping.
She got up.
She moved through the apartment finding clothes. Underwear at the foot of the bed — stiff now, cold. The skirt in the hallway. The silk top draped over a chair, the ribbed tank under it. She dressed in last night’s clothes. Her heels were in the hall. She stepped into them. She took her phone from the nightstand and put it in the bag beside the bed.
She was carrying him on her body — the plug still in, his cum dried between her thighs, his taste still faintly in her mouth. When she crossed her legs at the counter the sex-musk rose from her own skin, sharp and unmistakable.
In the kitchen she filled the coffeemaker and started it.
He came out of the bedroom in boxers. The full body in Monday morning light — grey and flat through the cheap blinds. The skin at his belly creased from sleep, the gut sagging, his shoulders blotched pink and pale, his face puffy and lined. He was worse in daylight than in the dark. Worse in his own apartment than he’d been in the suite. And she was making him coffee.
“Coffee’s almost done,” she said.
“You didn’t leave.”
“Apparently not.”
He poured two mugs when the coffeemaker finished. They stood on opposite counters, a foot apart, and drank, and the quiet was easy in a way it had no business being.
“You meant it?” he asked. “Last night. Raising the price.”
“I meant it.”
He set his mug down. “Then there’s something I want.” Not asking — she heard the difference immediately, the register dropping into the one that emptied her head. “Every performance you’ve ever put on camera went through him. Dayton. The benefit. Last night — you’re leaking my cum and even that was framed for his phone. I want one that’s mine.” He picked his phone up off the counter and thumbed the camera open. The red dot came on. “Finish your coffee and get on your knees.”
She looked at him. The plug shifted as her thighs pressed together. She drank the rest of her coffee — slow, watching him over the rim, letting him watch her decide — and set the mug in the sink, and walked over, and sank to her knees on the cold kitchen linoleum between his feet.
“Top off,” he said. “Slow. Watch the lens.”
She looked up into the red dot and peeled the wrap top over her head, then the ribbed tank. Her tits came free in the grey light, the chain bright against her breastbone, yesterday’s mascara smudged dark around her eyes, his fingerprints blooming on her hip. She knelt there in her skirt and heels and the chain, and let him film her — let the camera take its time, the way she knew he wanted, the way nobody else ever got.
He circled a step so the phone caught her from the side — bare tits, gold script, the black skirt still zipped over her ass, heels, the knowledge of the plug under the cotton — and she stayed posed for it, chin tipped, dark eyes on the lens, looking like the hottest accident in Ohio.
“Unzip me.”
She reached up and worked him out through the fly of his boxers. He was half-hard and heavy and she took him out and the smell of him rose — sleep and skin and last night, thick and animal this close. She wrapped her fingers around the shaft and stroked him slowly, looking up at the lens.
“Tell the camera what you’re about to do,” he said.
“I’m going to suck Ray Vogler’s cock.” Her voice came out low and warm and filthy. “In his kitchen. On a Monday morning. My husband is at home right now, and I’m here, and I’m going to swallow everything this man gives me.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m his.” The words came out before she’d weighed them, and she felt the truth of them land in her stomach like heat. “Because my husband gets a performance.” She licked the head, slow, a full flat drag of her tongue from the ridge to the slit, gathering the bead of pre-come waiting there. “And you get the truth.”
She took him into her mouth.
No ramp. She sank straight down the shaft, lips sliding over the flare, down, down, until her nose pressed his belly and he was still growing in her throat, thickening, and she swallowed around him and felt him harden to full in the wet grip of her. The sound he made above her went straight between her legs.
She worked him slow and wet. Her mouth gliding up and down, her fist following, spit welling fast and running down the shaft in shining threads, slicking him root to crown. The sounds filled the kitchen — soft, obscene, the wet *gluck* of her mouth, the little hums she couldn’t hold back. Drool escaped the corner of her mouth and swung and dropped onto her bare tits and she let it.
“Look at you,” he breathed, above the phone. “Drooling on yourself for the camera.”
She pulled off — a rope of spit stretching from her swollen lip to the dark, glistening head, swaying, unbroken — and smiled up at the lens, and licked the whole mess off his shaft while he filmed it.
She went deeper. Chin tucked, throat open — the head nudged her throat, she gagged, pushed through it, the thick *glk* loud in the morning quiet, and she held him there, nose to his gut, throat working around the crown in long swallows, tears rising, yesterday’s mascara going fresh black at the corners of her eyes. His free hand came down into her hair and she moaned at the weight of it.
Then his hips started moving. He fucked her mouth — slow, deep strokes, filming it all, the phone steady in one hand while the other guided her skull — and she took it, gagging and moaning, spit bubbling at her lips, her hands gripping his thick thighs, and the white quiet came down over her mind and underneath it she was burning, one hand sliding up under her skirt to where she was soaked.
“Your hand’s in your skirt,” he said. “Show the camera.”
She brought her fingers up — shining — and held them up to the lens, and then put them back in her mouth alongside his cock and sucked them clean with him still in her throat, and his groan shook through his whole body.
She pulled off with a wet, obscene sound and kept stroking him, looking straight into the lens. “My throat is sore from last night,” she said, her voice wrecked and warm, “and I don’t care. I can feel you everywhere — my jaw, my chest — I’m dripping on your kitchen floor right now.” She licked the head, slow, eyes up at the camera. “That’s the truth. You get the truth.”
“Jesus Christ. You’re going to finish me, Blondie. Where do you want it?”
She pulled off him — gasping, wrecked, spit everywhere, her voice raw — and kept stroking, fast and wet.
“In my mouth.” Panting. “All over my tongue. I want to taste you in my car all the way home.”
“Open. Tongue out. Stay right there.”
She tilted her face up, mouth open wide, tongue out and waiting, looking into the lens with her wrecked mascara and her drool-glazed chin and the chain at her throat — and he stroked over her, once, twice, and came.
The first pulse landed heavy across her tongue, salt-thick and hot. The second striped her tongue to her lower lip. The third hit the corner of her mouth and slid down her chin in a slow white rope and dropped onto her tit, and she stayed there, mouth open, taking every drop he had, until he was empty and shaking and his knuckles were white around the phone.
She held the pose. Showed the camera — the pool of him on her tongue, the streaks on her chin, the strand cooling on her breast. Swirled it slowly with her tongue, filthy, deliberate. Then she closed her mouth, swallowed once, twice, and opened again — empty, clean, her dark eyes up at the lens.
“Good girl,” he said. Quiet. Meaning it.
She took him back into her mouth one last time — gentle now, cleaning him, sucking the last of it from the slit while he shivered — and tucked him away, and wiped her chin with two fingers and sucked those clean too, and sat back on her heels in the morning light.
He lowered the phone. Looked down at her for a long moment, and whatever was in his face was unguarded again — the three-in-the-morning look, except it was seven AM.
She stood. Fixed her skirt. Picked up her coffee mug from the sink and refilled it and drank like nothing had happened.
He put the phone on the counter — the video, the record of her, the thing that belonged only to him.
She got her bag. She did not wash her face or fix her hair.
At the door she paused. He was leaning against the kitchen counter in his boxers, watching her leave. Satisfaction sat easy on his face. Whatever worked underneath it, she couldn’t see.
“Ray.”
“Yeah.”
She looked at him. The ugly apartment. The ugly man in the ugly boxers. The phone on the counter with her worship on it. The bedroom behind him where she’d said *papi* and *stay* and *I want all of it* and meant every word.
“Thank you for telling me,” she said. “Don’t mistake that for forgiveness.”
She left. He watched from the doorway: her ass in yesterday’s skirt going down his metal stairs, heels ringing, hair unfixed, his cum still in her and on her tongue. The February air hit her bare legs and the cold felt clean and she did not look back.
