Finding Mount Hei Hei

“Those are a lot of chickens,” Diana said as we hovered close to a mountain of trash and other garbage. Along a side of the mountain were several dozen chickens were walking around or pecking at the scrap metal at their feet. Checking the scanner, you found that you were looking at around fifty chickens all being different iterations of the dumb chicken from Moana; Hei Hei was their name according to the computer.

“Where do you think they came from? A Character Restaurant serving animals from fictional worlds?” You speculate as you watch some of them falling off debris and triggering some landslides. You quickly snatch those ones up with the ray so that there isn’t a cost to revive them. There were already a few will need revives.

“Maybe they were too skinny for dinner and thrown out,” Diana thought out loud.

“Maybe they just wandered into the garbage dump and fell into the portal,” you suggested as you continued to zap more of them. Gogo looked at you and Diana.

“Why are you guessing, can’t you just look up their previous owners,” Gogo pointed at the databank terminal where you could check their information.

“Come on Gogo, its more fun this way,” you said with a laugh as you caught sight of four Hei Hei in a circle pecking at each other and getting confused as to who is pecking them. Gogo rolled her eyes and went back to reading the manual.

Several more minutes of zapping the chickens passed before Gogo spoke up, “failed petting zoo.” You grinned and responded.

“A failed Running of the Chickens,” you reply. Gogo smiled and answered.

“Chicken Strip Club.” You bursted out laughing as you imagined a Hei Hei trying to pole dance. Diana joined you and soon more ridiculous speculation filled the shuttle. The laughter was soon cut off when an alarm was triggered and you snapped back to the controls.

“Anomaly detected, proceed with caution,” the computer reported. You looked at where scanner detected the anomaly using the zoom function on the window and gaped at seeing a large glowing Hei Hei falling out of a barrel marked radioactive waste. The Hei Hei shook off some excess waste and started pecking at the ground. You were about to numbly press the zap button when it started growing and growing.

“*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*,” the shuttle sounded as you back it up as the Hei Hei continued to grow soon dwarfing the mountain of trash it was previously on.

“I think we’re going to need a bigger shuttle,” Gogo said, disbelieving what she was seeing.

“There goes my bonus,” you say as it stopped growing. “Oh shit!” You shout as you maneuver the shuttle away as the Kaiju sized Hei Hei started pecking close to where you were.

“Gogo, you read up to the ray settings right?” At her nod, you gave the order. “Set the ray to Titan level.” She quickly found the dial and the radioactive Hei Hei was safely digitalized and stored away.

“The guys at the office are not going to be happy dealing with that!” You say as you finish zapping the remaining Hei Hei and flying away.
