Experimenting with B'Elanna Torres
“Just hold still, try not to make any sudden movements,” Chief Engineer B’Elanna Torres said as she made a few last minute adjustments to the console’s settings. You shifted in your place a bit and she glared at you as she made some more calculations.
“Has that ever worked in stopping anyone from moving?” Mariner asked, dripping with sarcasm. She was tapping her foot as the two of you were standing on a modified transporter pad. You chuckled before you struck a superman pose. Seeing the look you got, you shrugged.
“Hey, if this teleports us back to our time, I might as well show up like a badass,” you said. Torres and Mariner snorted. You gave an exaggerated frown before breaking the pose. It was the next day after your activity with T’Lyn and since you and your group arrived on the Voyager. The Voyager crew had been working on seeing if there was a way to send your group back safely.
“Yeah, good luck with that,” Mariner smirked just as Torres activated the program on her console.
“Okay, by tuning the chronitons to higher frequency than their standard, you should hopefully get sent forward in time about 8 years,” Torres explained.
“Wouldn’t this just send us to this exact place in eight years, when the Voyager isn’t…” you try to ask but the transporter field activated at that moment. You blinked as the transporter room changed slightly. You felt something different about yourself but you couldn’t pinpoint how. You looked down and jerked your head back in surprise.
“You Rascal’ed us!” You complained as you looked at your small hands and the t-shirt you were wearing with a cartoon Andorian on it. You looked over and saw Mariner with her hair in pigtails and wearing a Toby the Targ dress.
“Why are we dressed like we’re going to TobyCon again? And why are we kids?” Mariner complained as she twisted around to look at herself.
“I’ll fix it!” Torres yelled as she tried to figure out what went wrong. “Just stay there!”
“‘Rascal’ed’?” Tom Paris questioned as he carefully took scans of the two of you.
“It's what we call the time Captain Picard and like three others got turned into kids and had to save the crew from Ferengi pirates,” you explained.
“And then the Rascal Pirates,” Mariner grinned. You nodded in remembrance.
“And who were the Rascal Pirates?”
“Me, my twin brother, Mariner, and some of the other ship kids,” you explained. “While Picard and his group were too busy making plans, we were already beating up the Ferengi captain with baseball bats that Jamie replicated. We then took the Enterprise-D on the shortest joyride ever.”
“We couldn’t figure out how ta unlock the controls but refused to give the ship to Riker,” Mariner rolled her eyes, remembering the arguments Riker tried. “We got in so much trouble.”
“He should’ve known that he couldn’t convince a group of crazy kids that it would be the right thing to do. He should’ve tried giving us extra holodeck time and ice cream,” you giggled in fondness.
“You two stole the Enterprise…as kids?” Torres asked in disbelief with the other Voyager crew. The two of you eagerly nodded as you started to retell the adventure.
“It was a short twenty minutes but it was the best of, like, all time,” you grinned eagerly. Just then Mariner gasped and turned to face you.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” She grinned at you with a manic look in her eyes.
“See if we can…”
“And reversing polarity,” Torres said right before you could say more. The transporter activated and soon you were blinking spots out of your eyes. Looking around, you saw that you were taller than you were as a kid yet shorter than your usual height. You felt like your normal adult self but also different.
“Was I seriously going to suggest joyriding the Voyager?” A deep voice asked next to you. “Man, I had impulse control problems as a kid.” Looking over, you see a tall black guy in an overly tight and ripping uniform.
“Mariner?” You asked the guy who looked over at you with a confused look just as your pants started to slip off your hips. You caught your pants just in time despite the suddenly too long sleeves of your shirt.
“James?!” The guy gaped at you.
“You’re a guy?!””a girl?!” The two of you shouted in surprise as you took in each other’s appearance. Mariner had short hair and a bit of a mustache and was about six feet tall. His uniform was ripping at the seams as he moved.
“I was not expecting this,” Tom Paris said as you shift and then have to scramble to keep your shirt from slipping off your shoulders.
“So Torres, any progress?” Captain Janeway asked as she walked into the transporter room. She frowned as she saw two Orions standing on the transporter pad. The female had on a ripped Starfleet uniform while the male had on a long sleeve shirt and jeans.
“This is a real pretty shade,” Mariner commented as she looked at her green arms. “Reminds me of this green stuff I drank last week.”
“Hey, maybe ease up on the pheromones, mistress,” you suggested as you moved closer to Mariner, practically with hearts in your eyes.
“Oh please, Orion pheromones are just a myth so captains can save face and stop with the mistress thing. It’s weird.” Mariner put hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow at you. You thumbed at the two other males in the room.
“Tell that to them and me, mistress,” Mariner looked over and saw Tom Paris and Harry Kim staring at her while drooling. Mariner was taken back a little.
“As you can see captain, we’ve been having some trouble,” Torres waved her hand at the scene in front of her as she ripped out a few wires from the console and resoldered them. “We’ve had them deaged, gender swapping, species change, something they called a mirror universe situation, they briefly started speaking random words, and nothing’s worked.” Torres slammed a fist on the side of the console and the transporter activated again. A brief moment later, you were human again and shaking the effects of Mariner’s pheromones.
“Hey Captain, how is everything?” You asked once you noticed her.
“Things are fine Mister Gardner,” Captain Janeway gave a slightly reassuring smile before looking down at the console Torres had been working on for the past couple of hours. “Your wife was able to help contain a particularly violent virus.”
“Oh I’m glad Aelita was able to help,” you grinned, thinking of Aelita at a station and tapping away to save the ship.
“Oh no, I meant Miss Starfire, she used her solar energy projection ability to keep the virus from escaping the room until it was eliminated,” Captain Janeway explained as she looked up briefly. You blinked in surprise.
“Oh, then great for Starfire,” you said. When the Captain started a hushed conversation with Torres, you looked back at Mariner.
“So…want to see if we can have an anbo match on the holodeck?” You suggest.
“Hell yeah, I can’t wait to kick your ass again, what are we 17-15?” Mariner replied with a mean grin.
“I still think our last match was a tie, especially with how it ended,” you smirked, recalling the match and the moves Mariner pulled on you and what you did to her ass in turn and then the sex. Mariner’s grin dimmed slightly as it looked like she was remembering something.
“Oh please, I was on top almost the entire time,” Mariner laughed a bit.
“Yeah, but I overcame you in the end,” you reminded her.
“Excuse me Mister Gardner, Ensign Mariner, as much as your conversation is riveting, I think we need to have a talk,” Captain Janeway interjected. You frowned a bit at her grim expression.
