Chapter 11 by Zeebop Zeebop

What kind of problems?

End: Vampire Problems

Lois Lane was a city girl. She was used to urban ecology. Rats, stray cats and dogs, pigeons, cockroaches. Gators in the sewer were an urban myth. Racoons and coyotes belonged out in the suburbs. Metropolis had to actually import deer to the parks whenever they wanted to do a photo shoot, and Lois didn't know the last time there'd been an eagle in the airspace.

Bats...were not something she expected. Yet here they were.

A stream of brown, furry bodies; rats with wings. A flood of them poured through the open doors of the elevator, so fast that they just slammed into her body, a dozen at a time, and clung on. Lois Lane screamed, clawed, flailed, tripped; beside her she heard Cheetah roar, a tawny blur as her claws scraped the air. Tiny crushed bodies fell at each swipe.

Yet they kept coming. The air reeked of their small bodies. Guano dripped onto the floor. Lois Lane covered her face and tried to crawl out, but all she managed to do was get in Cheetah's way. The cat-woman bumped into her...then she fell...

...and suddenly, not all the bats were bats anymore. They were pale, cold, naked women who hissed. Their hands gripped arms and legs with inhuman strength and twisted them into arm-bars and leg-locks. Dizzily, as they carried the two of them forth, Lois noticed there were four of them. Three were the missing women that Lois had been looking for. The fourth she had never seen before.

A regal figure, with hair like spun gold. The shadows clung to her, and accentuated her curves. The pendulous breasts, the wide hips with the slightly saggy ass. Not a mark on her, not a scar or tattoo...except for the small of her back, Lois caught sight of a ridge of pale pink flesh in the mark of a stylized D. A brand.

They took them to a lab. A modern medical lab, with a pair of stainless steel tables in the center; large freezers, an ultrasound, microscope, other devices that Lois couldn't guess at their function immediately. Lois and Cheetah were tied to them with heavy leather straps...and chains for good measure, in Cheetah's case. The catwoman was unusually quiet, eyes wide, teeth covered. But Lois saw the way her fur was raised. The stiffness of her tail. She had no doubt that Cheetah was furious.

"You have destroyed several of my pets," the lead vampire said, with a thick Eastern European accent. "No matter. You have come to us. Now, you will help us."

Cheetah's eyes flashed, but she did not curse. Her voice, when she spoke, was calm. "Help you with us."

The lead vampire stepped between the two tables. One hand was laid gently on Lois Lane's flat stomach. It was very cold.

"Once, I was a ****. The Master kept me in his castle, with his other brides. He fed us scraps...babes, travelers, crumbs from a feast of blood that went on for centuries. When he was destroyed, we were free...but only I escaped. Now, once again, his spirit has been awakened. I feel his call. Distant, weak; I need not answer yet. Not for a year, perhaps two. But it grows stronger. I have a problem, you see. When I meet him again, I must be stronger."

The Bride turned, and smiled. Her fangs were terrible to behold, and dipped down past her lower lip.

"That is why I drew you here. Your blood and knowledge will be the key to my own transformation. I will be a new breed of vampire...stronger, more ferocious, even than him."

"No," Cheetah said...but Lois noticed that the cat-woman's ears had gone flat, her fur had settled a little.

"In exchange...I will give you what you most desire," the Bride tapped the reporter's navel. "Her womb...it is ready. We have the embryo, your child. She will be surrogate. Already, she is blood-bound to us. You will cooperate with us, and your daughter will be born, safe and strong."

Lois Lane opened her mouth to speak...but at a glance from the Bride, the reporter's jaw shut of its own volition, her tongue froze in her mouth. The Daily Planet's greatest reporter did not have any say in this, apparently.

Cheetah's jaw worked. Her eyes flashed from Lois to the Bride and back again.

"Do any of you vampire cunts have medical training?" She said.

"Mara was a doula. Jennie was nursing student." the Bride said, and indicated two of the recently-turned vampires.

"Not good enough. Untie me. I'll do the IVF procedure myself," Cheetah said.

Which is how, at the end of her night out, Lois Lane found herself with her knees spread, a speculum in her pussy. Latex gloves covered Cheetah's fingers as she gently probed at the reporter's cervix. They didn't even need ****. One command from the Bride, and the reporter's cervix began to dilate. It was a surreal sensation, even before the tube that contained the embryo slid inside the reporter's birth canal.

"If the baby dies," Cheetah warned. "I'll kill you all."

"Of course," the Bride grinned. "I expect nothing else."

That was how Lois Lane came to be pregnant—how all of her plans and dreams for the future went suddenly sideways—to seal an unholy bargain. The reporter swallowed hard, as a strange and terrible thirst came upon her. The vampiric venom or whatever it was raced through her veins. Bound her to the Bride's will. Addicted to their blood, knocked up...it was going to be a long forty weeks for the Daily Planet's greatest reporter.

The End
