Earth 616

Bruce tumbled through the dimensional vortex, unable to get her bearings. A cold wind hit her as she finally emerged out of the portal. After a few moments of falling, she was able to float, and stabilize herself in the air. She was still getting used to her new body, but she at least knew how to fly. She looked around, to see a large city. She definitely wasn't in Gotham, she knew the layout of her town like the back of her hand.

High above the clouds, Carol Danvers’ super-senses spotted the strange dimensional tunnel spitting Bruce out. She flew down to investigate, stopping short in front of the busty blonde she spotted. She reminded her of herself, really.

“… Hello, there?”

“Hello.”

Bruce replied sheepishly.

“You, uh, wouldn't happen to know where I am, would you?”

“New York. Although I think the more operative question is who you are.”

"I'm..."

Bruce considered revealing her true name, but decided on an alias for now, until she could trust this woman. Or this place.

"Power Girl. I'm assuming you're some kind of hero?”

“Ms. Marvel.”

Carol nodded.

“Where’d you come from, Power Girl? I heard some sort of… tunnel.”

"I think I might have come from another universe. I was taken here by some kind of portal, and from where I came from, I don't recall anything about any Ms. Marvels. There was a Mary Marvel...?”

“Oh, yeah?”

Carol sighed.

“That sort of thing happens more often than you might expect. Any idea what might get you back?”

"None whatsoever. Seems I'm stuck here for now. Do you happen to know any experts on interdimensional travel?"

“Only one, really, and she’s out of town. I can show you around, if you like.”

Carol offered, ready to help acclimate this Power Girl to the new universe.

“Do you have a name, or should I just call you PG?”

"Just PG.”

Bruce said quickly.

“Anywhere in particular you want to show me?”

“Let me take you to Avengers Tower, get you registered in our systems and stuff. Sound good?”

Carol held out a hand to Bruce.

"Sounds good."

Bruce took her hand, a little uneasily, but also a little more ready to trust her for now. If these Avengers were anything like the Justice League, she knew she'd be in good hands.

Carol took a firm grip on Bruce’s hand and lifted off, hovering above the skyline and moving towards the tower.

“So, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s with the, uh…”

Her hand circled her own chest, indicating Bruce’s sizeable cleavage window.

Bruce looked down at her bust, silently questioning Kara's fashion choices. Why anyone would wear a snow white leotard with a boob window into combat was beyond her.

"It's, uh, just something I like to wear is all.”

Carol suppressed a snicker as they landed on the helipad of the tower.

“Sure, alright. JARVIS, pull up the new registration forms, please and thank you?”

A voice came from a speaker, telling her it’d be on it right away, and the two entered the building. It was clearly the product of someone with money, and it was lined with equipment, screens, and apparently even a robot butler. Not altogether different from the Batcave, Bruce would note.

"So, this is your home? Anyone else live here?”

She asked curiously.

“Oh, sure.”

Carol nodded.

“The whole team does. Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, all the rest.”

Carol glanced over at Bruce as the forms appeared on screen.

Bruce furrowed her brows, the names Carol referenced were obviously superheroes, but none she'd ever heard of.

“Sorry. If you haven’t heard of me, you probably haven’t heard of them.”

"No, it's fine. Whole point's to get me acclimated to this universe, right?"

She waited for a moment, before impatience overtook her. Strange. Normally she was far more disciplined.

"So, any of them in the tower at all?”

“Not at the moment, I don’t think.”

Carol drew Bruce’s attention to the forms.

“Pretty basic stuff. It does include your real name, which should be a formality considering you probably don’t exist here anyway. If it makes you feel better, mine is Carol. Carol Danvers.”
