Early days - (Girlfriend Stage)

So back your early days with Emma when you had just recently become boyfriend and girlfriend. It has been a long time so I will remind you of events. You met Emma when she joined the same company you worked at, Glyph Co., you were both in your 20's and this was your first job. You shared a house with your roommate, Ben, who also worked in the same company but was more senior. Emma was introduced to your office as she was shown around on her first day, from that point you were smitten. She was gorgeous. Caramel coloured hair in a ponytail, glasses, cute smile and a filthy laugh. You took many opportunities to spend time with her, making excuses to chat or just be around, never quite having the courage to ask her out until one day...
"Tom do you want to go on a date?" she asked you directly.
"Yes I would" you replied rather enthusiastically, relief falling from you in a torrent, at least you had not had to be the brave one.

After that date things continued well. Quickly you found yourselves spending all your time together and your relationship was born. You introduced her to Ben who barely acknowledged her, knowing him he was fearing that the shared bachelor pad was going to change if she was a regular visitor. Ben was a bit of a slob and rarely cleaned up around the house, he maintained a free lifestyle, playing videogames and ordering takeaways.
