Don't Know, Don't Care

You know what? I don't care. You thought to yourself. _Some other overly complicated system, I'm sure. _All you need is to make Michael, and Sarah while you're at it, your bitch and all of this will be background noise. At least your momentary panic reminded you that you could change alter your suggestions. You disabled "Sorry isn't good enough" and changed "I shouldn't wear short dresses" to "I should wear short dresses." It's kind of wasted a word, but it was necessary, you rationalized to yourself. You could have simply deleted the suggestions, but it would be a crime for her to cover those legs up, and you could think of a few uses for "Sorry isn't good enough." You boosted "Staring isn't bad" and "I should let Dustin make up for the incident."

You stepped into the dining room to collect the ciders. You were really hoping to convince her to help you carry them down while you were at it, but with the direction things went, it was for the best that you didn't. Unfortunately, now you have to carry the cooler down a flight of stairs by yourself. You step out the back door and bruise the hell out of your legs accidentally kicking the thing. But you manage to lug it out. When you finally appeared, everyone responded with a cheer of "there he is!" They were being polite, obviously. The cheer had the feeling of a mob, but they were clearly told about your involvement, and what Sarah says goes. "Anyone's welcome if they bring drinks!" You joked to the crowd. But you knew by now that the suggestion would take hold, regardless.

Candace, Marcus's mother, spoke up. "As long as you behave."

"I will conduct myself properly." You responded. It sounded awkward out loud, but you thought about what you would say in exactly this situation for a while. You didn't want to say "I will be on my best behavior." She doesn't think your best behavior is very good at all, and you didn't want that backfiring when she inevitably caught you misbehaving.

She raised an eyebrow, but otherwise seemed to take you at face value before rejoining her conversation.

Excellent. Phase 1 is complete. Now you just need to target Michael.
