Chapter 227 by MrLarsBar MrLarsBar

What's next?

Doing chef stuff

Escaping the confines of the kitchen and discarding the white apron and hat, Aaron joined the party.

"Give my regards to the chef!"

"This strawberry tart is magnificent!"

"Mmm, the Foie Gras is incredible! You can count on Mr. Wayne to get the expensive stuff."

Aaron shamelessly eavesdropped on the guests. There must have been a total of a hundred people yet not one man or woman complained. He snorted. 'It better be good. I worked eight hours on it.'

As the evening unfolded, their collective creations were devoured with gusto, earning him, the head chef, praise and compliments from the esteemed guests. Of course, nobody knew that it was him as the wealthy men and women refused to step into the kitchen.

Aaron was bustling around the party, silently drinking a glass of apple juice, as he scanned and identified some of the guests. There were a lot of familiar faces from Tanya's charity event, except this time they were looser. Their mouths flapped as if they weren't in the house of Batman but instead the idiot, playboy. There was a little bit of dancing and clumsy men and women opting for intimacy. It was like the atmosphere was doused in ****. Aaron could feel himself getting slightly tipsy.

Interestingly enough, most of the Bat Family wasn't here. He had only spotted Dick so far. Aaron suspected it was because of the private party they were going to throw him in the Bat Cave. Afterall, this whole event was merely for the public. A show of Bruce Wayne and his typical antics. Instagram and Twitter were going to have a field day with this and that was exactly what Batman was counting on. It was smart. It presented the sheer absurdity of Batman being the Wayne patriarch.

"Mmm, so you're here too…" A hot breath tickled his ear. He had already sensed her when he stepped into the manor.

"Jaina," Aaron called out. "You look well."

The understatement of the century. The captivating Indian socialite graced the party in a figure-hugging emerald green cocktail dress that perfectly complemented her radiant olive skin. The off-the-shoulder neckline accentuated her graceful collarbones, while the thigh-high slit added a touch of sensuality to her ensemble. She paired the dress with strappy gold heels that elongated her legs and adorned her wrist with delicate gold bangles that tinkled softly with her every movement. Her presence was like a bright light.

Then there was that alluring smirk of hers. Jaina wanted him, right here and right now. With those big brown tits of hers rubbing his arm, he was tempted to drag her into a room and fuck her with her dress on.

He didn't, of course. Aaron had more class than that. Plus, the cameras were being watched by Tim. Tim hadn't told him much except that he would be holed up in the Bat Cave and keeping guard. Also, that he would be readying the real party alongside Cassandra, Stephanie, and Damian. He wondered who else was invited to the so-called real party. Aaron wasn't. Tim had explicitly said so between rapid-fire apologies.

That was fine with Aaron. There were plenty of other activities for him, after all.

Selina Kyle, known for her impeccable style and seductive charm, chose a form-fitting black dress that accentuated her every curve. The plunging neckline and daring slit teased just enough cleavage to answer to public decency. She clung to Bruce and sent Aaron a sly wink when he wasn't looking.

Jaina stood by his side like she was his date. She wasn't but he let her do as she pleased. It was rare the two of them talked outside sex and missions.

Dick also passed by and sent him a knowing wink. "Good job," he mouthed.

Aaron pursed his lips. Jaina took that as a chance to squeeze those plushy mounds of hers deeper into his arm. In his pants, his loins swirled and twitched. He waited for someone, anyone, to spare him away from this Indian chick. He wanted to seem normal, not stand out like a sore thumb and have a big titty Bollywood actress beauty beside him.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here."

Helena tutted as she interrupted their menial conversation. Jaina smiled widely.

"Ah, Helena, right?" Jaina greeted. "Aaron told me about you."

He had…during missions, that is.

Helena chuckled and eyed Aaron with a certain gleam. "Did he now?"

The Huntress had opted for a sleek, tailored pantsuit in a deep shade of midnight blue. The jacket hugged her frame, emphasizing her toned physique, while the wide-leg trousers added a touch of sophistication. She accessorized with a silver pendant necklace that rested perfectly against her collarbone.

"See, I've been trying to convince him to enroll his daughter into a public school," Helena said. "But he just wouldn't listen. Could his girlfriend convince him?"

"I'm not his girlfriend," Jaina replied before Aaron could say it. "We're just friends."

"Oh, wow, here I thought you were two-timing Cassandra," Helana said, smirking knowingly.

"Cass isn't my girlfriend either." Aaron's response was dull and uninterested. Helena frowned.

"You're no fun. Anyway, give me a call if you ever want to reconsider the school thing. Chao!"

With that, the brown woman was gone. He wondered what ethnicity she was. She wasn't Indian or Arab. Her name sounded Italian though…

"She's quite the beauty," Jaina said. She went on her toes and whispered in his ear, "Gonna fuck her later?"

Aaron was unfazed. "If she's useful."

A few minutes later, he noticed a tall, well-dressed man approaching. Recognizing him was a no-brainer: it was Luke Fox, head engineer of Wayne Tech and Tanya Fox's first, biological son. Aaron had seen him on his very first day at Wayne Tech.

Upon invading his space, smiles were exchanged. 'Finally, some male interactions,' Aaron thought, relieved.

"Luke Fox, founder of FoxTech, right? Pleasure to meet you, I'm Aaron, the chef for tonight's festivities."

"Ohh, the new guy of the manor." Judging by his microexpressions, he already knew. "Aaron Reigner, correct? It's great to finally put a face to the name. I heard you used to work at Wayne Tech?"

"I still work part-time now. My priorities have changed since Mr. Wayne hired me."

Luke caught the hidden message and nodded curtly. "I see. Well, I hope you come to join in full someday. We're constantly pushing the boundaries of technology. Just the other day, we managed to create a patent that focuses on solar energy. It's based on Kryptonian cells."

Aaron's features turned into wonder. "Like Superman?"

"Like Superman," Luke confirmed. "But enough about that. Tonight, it's all about celebrating Bruce's birthday. I can see that you've prepared quite the spread."

"Try the blueberry tart," Aaron suggested. "You might find yourself wanting seconds."

"I'll do just that."

Shaking hands, Luke left. Jaina had remained silent the entire conversation. He felt a little bad for her but his mind couldn't escape the possibilities of his words.

'Luke Fox…Tanya really undermined his skills. He's as useful as his father. The tech he's suggesting could power entire neighbourhoods of a city.' Aaron smiled to himself. 'This is going so much better than I thought. I never guessed Luke would come. And now…he's under my control.'

When it came to improvising, no one was better than Aaron Reigner. He could act, he could think on the fly, and most of all, he could adjust plans. Despite being unaware of the party, he managed to spin it to his benefit.

Because in every food and drink, he quietly casted a spell. A bridge between his hypnosis and the magic he copied from Zatanna, no saliva involved. He spoke two words.

"Yebo em."

OBEY ME.

What does this mean?
