Despedida will be field commander

You told the team that you wanted Despedida to be the field commander. As quirky as she was, she really did seem to be the sanest and most compassionate of the girls, having expressed some concern for your safety as a handler a few times in the past. Plus, with all of her time playing team games, she ought to have become highly adept in issuing instructions to a team in live-fire situations. You thought that she probably had potential for this role... although, you hoped she wouldn't get too comfy in it.

"Yo, Ciao, did you just say I'm the field commander!? That's dope!" The girl sounded as surprised as anyone. You kind of wanted to see what Vaarvel's face looked like in this situation, having her request denied in favor of the young lady who'd been wearing headphones and playing a video game throughout the whole flight. "I'm gonna redefine the Goodbye Girls meta!"

You told her not to get too carried away...

"No, listen: I've been thinking about it! So say it's like Overwatch. We've been using Au Revoir like she's Reaper, when really, she ought to be more of a-"

You begged her not to get too carried away!

"No, no, get this: I've been thinking, what if we get Tschau into sniper position and then, bam, she uses a grappling hook and mid-air, she spins around and no-scopes a fool, so she's mobile but also deadly-"

You pleaded, begging desperately, that she not get too carried away!!

"... Don't worry, I can do that, Despedida."

That last voice had been Tschau's. Groaning, you smacked your head down on the button to cut comms, then urged Goodbye to please continue with the original conversation.
