Dark Hour

I was awoken by a loud noise. This was right when my life started to become an official goddamn mess. I heard a commotion down the hall and decided to take a look.

"Wake up!!" Yukari shouted. "Sorry, I'm coming in!"

Yukari burst into the room.

"I don't have time to explain," she said. "We have to get out of here, now!"

"Okay." I said, too tired and shocked to really do anything else.

"Hurry! Downstairs! We'll leave through the back door! Wait! Take this, just in case."

Yukari handed me a short sword. She was just carrying a fucking sword around. And gave it to me for some reason. It was a real goddamn sword too.

"Okay, let's go!" she said.

We ran downstairs to the back door.

"Alright, we should be safe for now." said Yukari.

Turned out we weren't safe as we discovered when we heard Mitsuru's voice coming from a device Yukari had.

"Takeba, do you read me!?" she asked.

"Yes! I hear you!" Yukari replied.

"Be careful! There's more than on enemy! The one we're fighting isn't the one Akihiko saw!" Mitsuru explained.

"What!?" Yukari asked.

Then something very nearly bashed the damn door down.

Yukari gasped, "Let's pull back!"

We started heading back upstairs, to the second floor.

"What are we going to do?" Yukari asked, panicking. "They're downstairs! Do we have any choice but to go further up?"

We went further up to the third floor.

"Whoa, whoa!" said Yukari. "What are we going to do!?"

We went further up to the fourth floor.

"What was that?!" asked Yukari. "It's getting closer! Keep moving! Hurry!"

We made it to the roof entrance.

"Oh yeah!" Yukari said. "We go out through here!"

We headed out and that's when things started getting really weird.

Yukari sighed, "The door's locked. I think we're okay for now."
