The Pokémon were powerful; they fought valiantly and held their own for far longer than any other civilization that the human empire had faced before, but eventually, the human technology was too much for the Pokémon to stand up against.
In the end, every single piece of civilization was conquered by humanity, and the majority, if not all, of the Pokémon were captured and enslaved to do their bidding.
