Cody, an Office Intern

21 year old Cody Sholes was interning at a large marketing firm. He was supposed to be learning the business, but some of the employees treated him like a lackey. He sat at his computer checking emails from his superiors while also receiving orders on his phone.

He took a break and thought about some of the people in the office. He had had a bad breakup a few weeks ago, and his girlfriend moved away, and his mind drifted to the women at his work:

There was Gloria Mare, the tomboyish girl-next door, who was also an intern. She was sweet and smart, and she and Cody got along great.

There was his and Gloria's immediate supervisor, Jane "Don't call me Janie" Wiggins, s, who was humorless and ambitions and confessed she hated "wet nursing wet behind the ears interns."

There was the head of the department, Caroline Banks

She often made lewd comments to Cody when there was no one around to hear or witness it. Apparently, she was going through some sort of cougar phase, and though Cody had nothing against cougars, he knew if a male supervisor was doing to a female intern, all hell would break loose, and she let Cody know that no one would believe anything he said about her as she had a sterling reputation.

There was Rosalie Hildalgo, the second in command to Caroline.

She was just annoying. She was bubbly, vivacious, but could talk no-stop for seeming eternity. Cody and Gloria called her "Run-on Rosie," and they tried never to get into a conversation with her about anything but their duties.

At the end of another boring day at work, Cody went to the small two-bedroom apartment he shared with his buddy Jackson, who was a budding computer engineer. Jackson was on the floor of the living room with a disassembled computer on the coffee table. "Hey, package for you outside the door when I got home. I put it outside your bedroom door."

"Thanks." Cody found a small box. He took it into his room and opened it and discovered the rings and the instructions.
