Chloe's husband and he's got a question

My hands were sweating as I walked down the stairs, dreading who I'd find knocking on my door. Would it be the police or Chloe's irate husband? Either way, I'd really screwed up living here on the very first day. I held my breath as I looked through the peep hole, seeing Chloe's husband standing there. He didn't look angry, didn't look like he'd come over here to beat me to a pulp... in fact he looked worried.

"Hey, Seth,' he greeted me with a big smile as I opened the door.

"Hi," I replied somewhat hesitantly, unsure as to what was going to happen. Had Chloe told him about my spying on her? If not, why?

"I was just wondering if you were still coming over for dinner. " Guess she didn't, I think to myself.

"I was planning on it," I assure him with a nod.

"Good. I've got to run the to store and grab some beer. You can head over anytime you're ready. Chloe is upstairs but the back door is always open," he assures me, "any particular beer you want?"

"Anything is fine with me," I tell him with an easy-going shrug. She must not have told him about me leching on her, I think to myself. There's no way he'd be so friendly and agreeable if he knew I'd been watching his wife undress.

"Great, I'll be back in about fifteen minutes," he assures me, motioning over his shoulder towards his house. "Go on over and get acquainted with Chloe," he suggests as he fishes his car keys out of his pocket and head towards the cars parked in front of his house.

Should I go over and visit with Chloe or wait until her husband comes back? If she didn't tell him about my spying, there's got to be a reason. What could it be?
