Who is it?
Chidori Yoshino
Chidori Yoshino is a thin, pale girl with long red hair she mostly allows to fall behind her like a waterfall but often braids in the front into long pony tails entwined with white ribbons. She is often seen in heavy make up and eyeliner, dressed in an outlandish gothic lolita dress heavily featuring pure white like a wedding dress. A frilly maid-like bonnet covers her head, alongside the equally frilly choker around her neck. She wears white stockings up to her knees and platform high heeled shoes on her feet. This snowy white ensemble runs parallel to her usual demeanor of a cold, distant and softspoken teen. But her bonnet is accompanied by a jagged blade like accessory, and a spiked iron shackle is clamped around both her ankles, likewise hinting at the more violent, vicious side of her personality eager to inflict pain and blood on her enemies. Her enemies...and herself. Hiding even deeper beneath these masks a frightened, lonely girl with no past to remember and no future to hope for.
That was how she was when SEES first encountered her. Unknown to the group the oddly dressed sketch book artist was a member Strega, a small cabal of Persona Users, each one a victim of experiments conducted by the Kirijo Group (just one of a mountain of sins conducted by the mad CEO Kouetsu Kirijo, whose spiral into nihilism would end with his **** and a quest for redemption by the company under his son and granddaughter). The group was functionally a cult dedicated to the bringing **** to the world in the most literal sense possible. Chidori was indoctrinated under a constant litany to avoid attachments and feelings so that she might achieve the group's end without regret. A chance encounter with Junpei Iori gave Chidori a chance to infilitrate the group, but in her naivete she took Junpei's bluster to be literal truth and tried to kidnap him, presuming his role in the group more essential than it truly was. This in turn ended in her own capture, interrogation, and eventual escape. In one final battle to the ****, Chidori found her own feelings for Iori too much to follow through with killing the group, only for her former comrades to attempt to finish her work themselves. Using her Persona's unique ability, Chidori gave up her life to save Junpei, merging her Persona Medea with his own in the process.
That is often where her story ends. But Medea's power over life and **** can, depending on the actions of others in the world, bring about a strange resurrection. Some amount of stray lifeforce left over in the flowers Junpei gave her in the hospital have the potential to imbue her with new life. The girl who wakes up remembers her life before the game's timeline but only has vague dreamlike memories of her time with Junpei. In a bittersweet ending the pair are given a second chance, Junpei sad to lose the part who knew him but relieved she had escaped the suffering that had tainted their previous relationship.
