Catching Female Pokémon in Route 101.

"Oh, welcome back Jade and Brendan, I think I know who won the battle between you two." said Professor Birch, as both Jade and Brendan walking towards Professor Birch. "I actually won against Brendan, with only a few HP left." said Jade. "Wonderful, what a great battle you two have, and Jade impressive battling, maybe you have the true potential of becoming Pokémon champion after all." said Professor Birch. "I'm still just a rookie, if I need to be stronger, I need more Pokémon." said Jade. "Don't worry, you can actually catch other Pokémon using a Pokéball, but more on that later." said Professor Birch, as he gives a strange device to Jade.

"This is a Pokédex, it's high-tech tool that automatically makes a record of any Pokémon you meet or catch." said Professor Birch. "Brendan goes everywhere with it, and whenever he catches a rare Pokémon and records its data in the Pokédex, that is why Brendan looks for me while I'm out doing fieldwork and shows me." said Professor Birch, suddenly Brendan tapped his hands onto Jade's shoulders.

"Here take some extra Pokéballs, that I accidentally bought." said Brendan, as Jade receives 5 Pokéballs from Brendan. "You know that it is more fun to have a whole bunch of Pokémon, if I find any cool or rare Pokémon, I will catch them with Pokéballs." said Brendan. "I'm going to catch more Pokémon now, bye." said Brendan as he runs away towards whenever he wants to go. "Thanks for the dex, professor." said Jade before she immediately leaves the lab too, when she got outside, her own mother approach towards her.

"Wait, Jade! Did you introduce yourself to Professor Birch?" asked Jade's mother. "Yes, I did, and I even got a starter, her name is Ember the Torchic." said Jade, as she summons Ember, and she immediately picks her up, and show it to her mother. "What an adorable Pokémon, you look really cute with your Pokémon." said Jade's mother while petting Ember. "Oh yeah, honey. If you going to have an adventure, you obviously need to wear these running shoes." said Jade's mother, as she brings the box of running shoes to Jade, which is orange in color. They will put a zip in your step." said Jade's mother. "Alright, let me test it out." said Jade, as she wears the running shoes instead of her regular shoes, and it fits well on her, the orange color directly matches with her warm color clothing. "But please be careful. If anything happens you can come back home and rest for a while." said Jade's mother. "Thanks mom, I'm going to start my adventure now, bye mom!" said Jade, as she immediately run towards Route 101, while she's also holding her Ember, and waving goodbye to her mother.

"Alright, route 101. Let's see which one we can encounter." said Jade, as she immediately run towards the tall bushes, and the only three Pokémon that encounter her are Wurmple, but the first two are male and immediately flees before Ember can scratch them. But the third one is a female one, which Jade is really excited to catch it, so she immediately commands Ember to scratch the Wurmple for a turn before throwing the Pokéball at her.

One shake...Two shake...Three shake... Shoot! It was too close!"Pokéball one more time!" said Jade, as she throws the Pokéball again at the Wurmple. This time...One shake... Two shakes... Three shakes... Gotcha! Wurmple was caught! "Aw yeah, I finally caught the Wurmple!" said Jade, after that she immediately names her, despite its evolution is random, she still thinks that butterflies and moths are almost the same thing, so she decides to name her "Vanessa", as it means "butterfly" in British origins.

"Alright, no more time wasting, it's time to go to Route 102!" said Jade, as she immediately rushes towards Oldale Town, she quickly takes a detour in Oldale Town, by going to the Pokémon center and healing her newly caught Wurmple and also buying a few more Pokéballs, before going towards Route 102.
