What is the plan?

Boar Approaches Sue Storm With Information on Porkum

Chapter 18 by Zeebop Zeebop

"...it might take us two weeks to return," Reed Richards' voice came through the speakers of the comm station. He was letting his beard grow out, Sue saw, as he often did when she wasn't there to remind him to trim it. She always preferred to kiss a smooth cheek.

"I'll be here," Sue said with a forced smile. "I love you."

"Love you, too," Mr. Fantastic said, then ended the call.

The Invisible Woman sagged in her chair, and resisted the urge to scratch the itchy strip of skin on her lower back, just above her buttocks. Privately, Sue Storm was glad. The regenerative gel was speeding the healing of her SOW tattoo, and deadened the pain, but it would take several days for her to be healed sufficiently for it to be safely lasered off. She hoped to have it fully off before any of her family could see it.

"Damn that Porkum, anyway!" she muttered and slammed her fist into the arm of the chair. "If I knew where he was, I—"

Would probably go in half-cocked and get taken advantage of, again, Sue Storm finished the sentence in her head. She glanced at the screen where the satellite feed was fixed on the pork plant that was Porkum's hideout. All deliveries had ceased, so Sue was fairly certain Porkum wasn't still operating out of there, the arrogant pig-man having somehow moved without being seen. A part of her thought of just playing the Hand of God, letting a giant invisible finger stab down to erase the whole spot from existence.

But...that would destroy all evidence of his crimes. And she might not even get him. She wasn't at her full strength. No, mass destruction wasn't the way to go. Yet.

H.E.R.B.I.E. hovered into view.

"Mrs. Richards. There is a visitor in the lobby," the robot said.

"Who is it?" Sue asked.

"A mutant pig man."

The Invisible Woman had fixed the lobby cameras on Boar first. Checked the ventilation systems for pheromones. There were trace amounts, though nothing of the strength of Porkum's peculiar brain-warping musk.

The massively muscled mutant was dressed in a long overcoat and grimy jeans that outlined a distinctive bulge that Sue would have thought was ridiculously massive, if she hadn't met Porkum. S.H.I.E.L.D. files identified him immediately. Boar. Mutant. Low-level street criminal. Suspect in various robberies and sex crimes, although the NYPD was so far behind on testing rape kits that they had nothing definitive on him in that regard.

Why was he waiting in the lobby of the Baxter Building? There was only one way to find out.

A screen flickered to life. Sue Storm's image stared out. Icy blue eyes. Golden blonde hair that fell to her collar. A high-necked blue and black costume that showed nothing of her figure. Lips in a distrustful pout. Prettier than in her pictures.

"State your business," Sue said. "Before I notify S.H.I.E.L.D. to pick you up."

"Hey hey," Boar held up his hands. "No call for that! I'm here because we got a problem in common. Porkum."

The name sent a shiver down Sue Storm's spine, though she tried not to show it.

"Go on," she said.

"His Porkies gang has been rapin' people!" Boar said. "That kind of thing turns up the heat on all us porcine-like mutants, yeah? I tried to track him down, make him stop, and...well..."

Boar turned around and duffed his coat. The jeans fell low on his hips, and he wasn't wearing boxers; nor did he wear a shirt. There was a strip of skin four inches high shaved on his lower back, just above the ass-cleavage. In heavy Gothic letters it read: PIGLET.

"He dissed me! Just like he said he dissed you," Boar said. "Bragged about it. I want revenge. And I figure, together, maybe we can get it."

Sue Storm chewed the thought. Then something occurred to her:

"How did you find him?"

Boar tapped the side of his snout.

"Can smell 'im, can't I? Takes one to know one! I know where he's hidin' now," Boar said. "So, what do you say?"
