Back from the unknown regions

As you get to orbit, a Chiss capital ship stops and hails you. As the call is pending, you debate with Ranvi what to do, if they see you on a holo, they will realize you aren't Chiss and might shoot you down instantly. But not answering would result in the same end, right? So you answer the call rather than start a firefight with a ship that large.

-Chiss officer (as he sees through the holo that neither of you are Chiss): Interesting... I am Mitth'raw'nuruodo, a high ranking officer of the Chiss Defense ****, what is your business in Chiss space, outsiders?

-Lana: Excuse us Mit.. Mitthrw...

-Mitth'raw'nuruodo: Those who do not speak Chiss, call me Thrawn in basic.

-Lana: You have met so many outsiders to even come up with a name they can pronounce?

-Thrawn: As an officer of defense, I have met many of your kind flying into our space by mistake. Now again, what is your business? You are leaving Csilla, are you smugglers?

-Lana: No! We are on a... special mission of House Sabosen.

-Thrawn: Indeed? May I get your security codes then?

-Lana (trying to come up with something): Ehm, nooo, our mission is... confidential! We can't leave any trace behind.

-Thrawn: Interesting. I suppose interrogating you about the nature of your mission would not lead to any answers either.

-Lana: Ehm, no, it wouldn't.

-Thrawn (checking his datapad): I see. Clear them for leaving.

-Lana: Thank you, Officer Thrawn!

You jump to lightspeed and disappear in a second.

-Officer (to Thrawn): Sir, why did you let them go? They could have stolen valuable items from our home!

-Thrawn: Negative officer, I had a diagnostic run on their ship before I started this, less than pleasant little conversation with them. The scan found nothing of Chiss origin on the ship. Had they been smugglers, they would have had at least an outdated security code to present us. Without either goods or old security codes, they must have been either telling the truth, or bold enough to attempt to do their shady business without any kind of preparation. I will suppose they were the first.

-Officer: But, they could have been smugglers or similar nonetheless, we should have held them up for a thorough searching!

-Thrawn: And what do you expect a search would have found on their ship? If they were carrying anything to here, it had already been unloaded on the surface, without leaving a trace on the ship. We cannot waste our precious time searching every single ship that leaves orbit, that is up for the spaceport's men to do. You do not trust you comrades of doing their jobs appropriately, officer?

-Officer: I-I do, sir!

-Thrawn: Now then, return to your duties instead of questioning my decisions, unless you want to have yourself court marshaled for disobedience.

-Officer: Y-yes sir, forgive me, sir!

Lana (while travelling at lightspeed): Pjuh, that was close, I thought they were shooting us to little pieces for a second!

Ranvi: Strange, they let us off quite easily. Could it be a trap?

Lana (proudly as you put your feet onto the navicomputer): Don't worry so much, we handled that with a cool head and had everything under control. I'm not losing my touch yet!

Ranvi (sarcastically): I always feel so safe around you, when you are touching things and people like that!

Back on Coruscant, as you enter the temple, a group of temple guards surround you with ignited lightsabers.

Temple guard: Hold it, there!

Lana (confused, but ready to draw your lightsabers too): What is the meaning of this?!

Temple guard: We sense a dark energy in one of your possessions. Hand it over or we will be **** to take it from you!

Ranvi (taking the holocron out of her backpack): I-it must be a misunderstanding! We meant no harm! This was meant to be used to heal our friend!

Temple guard: Hand the holocron over, I will not repeat it! This is not a request, it is an order.

Lana: Do as he asks, Ranvi...

Ranvi: But!

Lana: We'll talk tot he masters about this, don't you fear, Drek'll be fine.

She hands the holocron over to the guard, but they do not lower their weapons. You want to walk past them, but they refuse to let you go.

Lana (confused): Excuse you? We have already handed the holocron over, let us go!

Temple guard: The Jedi council wishes to speak with you both. Immediately.

Ranvi: We'll see them, but I would like to check on our detained friend first, to see if he's alright, then we'll go an...

Temple guard: The Jedi council is waiting. Now!

Lana: Alright, alright! No need to be so moody, we'll talk to the council, okay?!

They escort you to the elevator of the council and only disperse once you have entered. At the council chamber, all of the masters are present either personally or via a hologram. They all seem rather concerned.

Yoda: Know why you are here, do you, young ones?

Lana: Please masters, if this is about the holocron, we...!

Windu: Answer only the question, Knight Ordo. There is no time for games.

Lana (thinking): Oh, he's always been a pain in the... but this time he's exceptionally impolite.

Fisto: The council is curious about your sudden disappearance into the unknown regions. You haven not asked for permission to depart to those places.

Ranvi: We did not plan to travel there, masters... We went to see my homeworld and... Got... Redirected.

Aayla: Ranvi, we know about what happened on Dathomir... Our utmost condolences about your people...

Ranvi: Thank you. But, if you do not mind me asking, how do you know about that?

Obi-Wan: We felt the destruction through the ****, it was greatly disturbed by the loss of so many **** users. We were not surprised by your departure there, expecting you must have sensed it as well, given your connection to your sisters.

Fisto: We are sending a token **** to Dathomir to secure the planet for the Republic.

Ranvi (angrily): Wait, you want to conquer my home?! My sisters haven't even been buried yet, but you would march soldiers through their corpses?!

Windu: Would you rather the CIS do the same? They did march through their corpses recently.

Aayla (shaking her head): Master Windu...

Windu: We are sending Master Taron Malicos with a bataillon of clone troopers to patrol the planet. This discussed, back to the questioning. Why did you travel to the unknown regions afterwards? And most importantly, why did you return with a Sith artifact?

Ranvi tells them everything about Csilla and Silri. The council is concerned about the holocron you have obtained and prefers to keep it tightly locked away with the rest of the Sith artifacts stored in the temple.

Lana: What? This is not right! This is unjust, unfair! We retrieved that thing to save our friend, a fellow Jedi, from a Sith lord's possession! Something that could not be done with Jedi techniques! We did not wish to use it afterwards only to help Drek and...!

Windu: Mind your tongue, young one...

Some of the masters contemplate your reasons, mostly Plo, Aayla and Obi-Wan, the latter understanding all too well that he probably would have done the same, had Anakin been possessed by a Sith spirit. After the brief silence, Ki-Adi-Mundi breaks it.

Ki-Adi-Mundi: Knight Modme is no longer in the detention area...

Ravni (with her hopes up): What?! Where is he then? Did you manage to heal him?!

Plo: He had escaped the detention.

Lana: He did what?! How?!

Windu: That is what we would like to know as well. We will start a full investigation of the matter and find anybody, ANYBODY, that might have had a hand in his escape. At the meantime, we have diverted much of our forces to locate him, but he has fled Coruscant this morning, hours before your landing.

Ranvi: Where did he go? What do we know about him?

Plo: He has... Decimated the security forces stationed at his cell. The Sith lord within him must have gained the upper hand and managed to use his strength to free himself from the cell, cutting his way through the guards and escaping to the hangar bay.

Ranvi: How could this happen?! Why did you not stop him?!

Windu: We tried, but most of the masters were offworld, by the time the temple guards were alerted to his escape, he used **** speed to rush through most of the temple, leaving a handful of dead padawans in his way.

Ranvi (in disbelief): No, no he wouldn't have...! He can't have done that...!

Obi-Wan: He is no longer in control of his actions, Ragnos pulling the strings entirely. We have located his ship, it got out of hyperspace and landed on Naboo a few minutes ago.

Lana: Then what are we waiting for?! Let's go, find and save him!

Windu: You do not understand the situation I am afraid. We are not going to save him. We are going to terminate the Sith lord by any means necessary. And the only way to do so, seems to end the life of Knight Modme.

Ranvi: No, no that can't be the only way! We have the holocron, with it we could...!

Ki-Adi-Mundi: You would like to use a Sith artifact you cannot comprehend, on a Sith lord, who power you cannot even imagine. All of this, because a heretic witch said, it would work? We cannot risk more innocents dying while you try to save one life over dozens. The council has made its decision prior to your audition, we are currently assembling a special team to possibly capture him, but if that is not possible, eliminate the threat.

Ravni (angrily): No, no, this is all wrong! You do not understand him as we do! You might just see a murderous maniac, but he is still our friend!

Windu: While the operation is still in progress, we want you to stay here in the temple and do not leave your quarters. Just precautions, especially after the Barriss Offee incident.

Lana: What do you mean...? She is alright now, is she not...?

Obi-Wan: Recently knighted Jedi Knight Barriss Offee has been... Tainted by the dark side. She smuggled a bomb into the temple and participated in the **** of a few Jedi. She tried to cast the blame onto Padawan Ashoka Tano, but the truth had been revealed later. This was the distraction that helped Drek escape, while the guards were after Offee's diversion. Offee has been detained, but Ashoka decided to leave the Jedi order.

Lana: Hold on a second, we leave the temple for like... 4-5 days and all of this happens?! Seriously, as if we were living our lives in an overly dramatic novel or something!

Windu (not amused): Funny... As I have already said it earlier, you two are not allowed to leave the temple until further notice. You may leave now.

You and Ranvi (bowing): Yes, master...

Obi-Wan (after the masters leave the chamber, as he's walking with Yoda and Windu): Master Yoda, with due respect, I still oppose the idea of murdering a fellow Jedi! Are you certain this is the right course of action to do now? It might ignite more mistrust towards the council, similarly like Barriss felt.

Yoda: Heading down a dark path, we are... Clouded by the dark side, the future of the Jedi is. Trust in our senses, we cannot. To preserve the Jedi, take a swift and decisive action, we have to. Trust in the ****, is all we can do now...

Obi-Wan: Speaking of dark, I understand you have visited Korriban not long ago with the help of Anakin. How was your journey there?

Yoda: Enlightening, it was. Learnt much about the ****, I have. Make a new acquaintance, I did, with a distantly familiar spirit.

Ki-Adi-Mundi: Master Yoda, with due respect, I still believe talking to Sith spirits is blasphemous!

Yoda: Blasphemous the talking may be, if too narrow minded, we have become. Open our minds and eyes to the ****, we should, or blinded by it, we all shall become.
