Attack them

With a swift move you activate your lightsaber and swing it at them. They are completely caught off guard and don't even have time to react. Both are cut down before they know what hit them. The mess you made has gained the attention of all the cantina... Everybody is looking at you, while you are standing at the middle of the place with an activated lightsaber. There is complete silence, until a hooded girl grabs your arm and pulls you to the side while saying:

Hooded girl: This was just a bit of a Jedi business, keep enjoying yourselves everybody!

Everyone returns to their respective activity, while you are dragged away from the centre of attention. You couldn't see the face of the one who intervened, but you are way too curious not to ask for her name.

Lana: Excuse me, but who are you...?

Hooded girl (stops and turns towards you revealing her face): Lana, don't you recognise me?

Lana: By the ****, Barriss!

Barriss: I was about to ask you the same! What are you doing at a place like this?! And keep your voice down please, we should remain in incognito! "Our kind", isn't welcome here...

Lana: So explain yourself!

Barriss: I was just playing a game of pazaak when I heard your lightsaber being activated. You shouldn't have done that you know...

Lana: Why? They were looking for me already!

Barriss: I don't think they were after you... But me...

Lana: What?! Why would they have been after you?

Barriss: I have just lost a game and... It wasn't my first time losing... When I lost the last game, I might have... Ehm... Mind tricked my opponent to pick a fight with the bouncers... But when the effect was over, he might have told them what I have done to him... Wouldn't be the first time though...

Lana: Let me get this straight... You lost a pazaak game, so you tried to have your opponent beaten up for it...?!

Barriss: He was cheating obviously...! I know how to play this game and I was 100% sure he wasn't playing fairly! He deserved what he got!

Lana: I see... The opponent is always a cheater when you lose... But still... What are you doing here?

Barriss: I often find the life in the temple boring... Always just keep meditating, reading about stuff, you know what I mean! I sometimes come here to blow off some steam... That is all!

Lana: You shouldn't be doing this! It is prohibited for us!

Barriss: Yes, but as long as we are not telling Master Luminara about it, nobody gets hurt! So please, don't tell her...

Lana: But she should know... It would be done for you, Barriss...

Barriss: Oh, don't act as if you were better than me! It is prohibited for me to come and play a bit of pazaak, just as much as it is prohibited to have sex! Unlike you, who could do it all the time!

Lana: Just because I could do it, I am not doing it at all...!

Barriss: Surely not...! I still remember the looks you gave to some of the masters when we were only 16! I wonder if you have laid with any of them... Like Master Windu, I heard he has a long "lightsaber"! Is it true? Besides, what could you be doing here if not something similar as I was doing?

Lana: Enough of this Barriss, I didn't come here to lecture you or play pazaak or dejarik... I have a mission here.

Barriss: A mission...? About what? Let me help you than!

Lana: Underworld activity has been on the rise here in the lower levels of Coruscant. Many of them illegally done, so the senate asked a Jedi, to investigate the operations of Uppa'Dor. His facilities are more suspicious than others, so I am here to collect evidence and interrogate him if needed.

Barriss: Interesting... I can tell you, this place is full of illegal activity... Aaaand I just happen to know where the office of Uppa'Dor is located at...

Lana: How do you know that?

Barriss: That is a private matter Lana, but I might lead you there if you want!

Lana: Sure, we better get going, the sooner the better!

Barriss: Hold on a second! I was about to make a great win in the next pazaak game! I just need a bit more money... Could you lend me 100 credits? I'll pay you back 200 from my winnings!

Lana: We shouldn't spend our time with gambling like this... We have responsibility as Jedi!

Barriss: Come on, just one round and you too will earn a profit!

An overview of a game of pazaak

In short, the game is about having a few cards (which you can decide to play or not) plus you can pull new ones onto the deck. They all have numbers on them, could be + or - from 1 to 10 (the ones drawn onto the deck are always +). The numbers are added on both your sides, closest to 20 wins, the one who goes above 20 loses instantly.
