At least a little safety

After finding a way to blow off some steam, Hermione got through the rest of the day without any more incidents. Sure, she did witness a lot more debauchery all around her, but by now that was almost background noise to her, as long as it was not too ****. Still though, she thought to herself, there must be something she could do about this situation without breaking the rules...

In the evening in the Gryffindor common room, the mood was a bit tense, but nothing all too crazy went on. Probably those perverts had worked off their lustful desires the whole day already. Hermione had an idea. If the Disillusionment charm worked for her, why not also for others? Of course, it would be suspicious if the entire female half of the school would be invisible most of the day, but at least a few people....

She gathered a few of her fellow Gryffindor girls around her, some of them looking normal, except for those rags calling themselves uniforms now, but some others looked very... well different than usual. "Lavender, are you alright? Did you have a rough day, you look.. well..." Hermione asked sympathetically. There was a weird, somewhat empty expression on Lavenders face, somewhere between an empty stare and a crooked grin.

"Oh no, nothing.. I just had a run in with Ron earlier and...Well Who am I telling, you must know" she said with a grin. Hermione blushed bright red. She did in fact never do anything with Ron except a quick kiss. "No.. No I.. Anyway" she changed the subject. Hermione started to try and teach them about the complicated charm. But after not so long a while, Fred and George began a big announcement of some kind.

"Hear hear, people" George began and a lot of heads turned in his direction, but by far not everyone. "Be quiet for a moment you horndogs and listen" Fred went on. "Yes, you too Neville, if you would be so kind as to take your head from between our sisters legs for a second." His face crimson, Neville looked at the twins too now.

"You will hardly have missed, that things are a bit different around here now" George said, now that everyone was listening "And don't get us wrong, I am not complaining" he winked in Angelinas direction "but still, the two of us talked to a lot of people and we came up with an idea." Everyone listened intently "We thought" Fred took over "that it must be exhausting for our lady friends, being subjected to this all day long, so why not at least give them some space, at least in here after the lessons."

The crowd murmured. Many of the girls nodded eagerly and agreed, some of the guys too, albeit a bit more hesitantly. "Any questions or suggestions are welcome of course, let's discuss people." Fred went. And the questions began "So, would it only be in here? Or would we not go for each other out in the hallways either? Just fool around with girls from the other houses?" Someone asked "Well" said Fred "I imagined it, for a start, to only be in here, but we will see. But maybe it would be good that we all have a lookout for our girls out there, that none of them gets taken on too hard, alright?"

"What if I really feel an urge when I am here in the evening though?" Someone asked. "I don't know if I could wait until the next morning." George replied "Well we thought about that. And there is two things: First of all, you CAN still do naughty stuff in here if you just ask before. But for the case there is no one around that is in the mood to say yes, we thought that we should maybe have a handful of girls 'on duty' every night, for urgent cases. So the rest of them can sleep in peace you know?"

Ginny raised her hand and said "And what about if I don't want things to be different in here? For all I care they can..." Fred cut her off "As you hear, some of you may want to be 'on duty' more than others, so we thought we just hang up a list with maybe 3 girls every night where volunteers can sign up. And before you bring any more shame to our family Ginny, at least wait until we are not looking to sign up for the next weeks."

While Ginny got to her feet and signed, grinning at her brothers as if to dare them to stop here, the final details were decided.

1. From sundown to sunrise, Gryffindor girls were off limits in the dorm rooms, except when they wanted to of course.
2. Every night, three of them would be on duty for urgent needs. They would either be in the common room or in an empty boys dorm room.
3. During the day, the male students were to look out for their friends as well as possible.
4. If anyone should feel the need to be more rough than usual, always take it out on a Slytherin, if possible.

As much as she hated to admit it, Hermione really thought this was a good idea. At least, she would be able to sleep in peace... Many girls thanked Fred and George afterward. Hermione joined them "Well, erm... thanks, I guess. I don't know. It is something at least." They both grinned at her "Now that is high praise coming from you" Fred laughed. "If you will excuse me now" George added "I... have something to take care of outside. I would really hate to break our own rules right away you see" And with a cheeky grin on his face, he left the common room. Hermione was of course aware of what he was planning. Still, at least not in here.
