Chapter 28 by CoolSoCool CoolSoCool

Now back to speed. How does everyone react.

As one would.

"Who is she," Zelda asked looking at GLaDOS who paid no heed to anyone in the room. She was just looking around the house nodding to herself.

"I found her in the house," Elm said like it was the most normal thing to say. "She's mine now apparently. I don't really know. This is as sudden as it sounds." Zelda nodded still with a confused look. Hinata now was slightly looking over in their direction only paying attention to GLaDOS, she still kept quiet though.

"I think I can easily hook up to the houses systems," GLaDOS told Elm turning back around to him. "That way I could change them to your preferences." Oh like he was going to allow GLaDOS to have that much power over the house. He was not waking up in an artic hellscape or being burnt to a crisp.

"No, I don't think you need to do that. If we need to change the temperature we can do it manually," Elm explained to GLaDOS. She raised an eyebrow toward him.

"What about the security system? The hidden turrets and other traps," GLaDOS asked him.

"The what," Elm spouted out. When was that a thing? What the hell did that old man do to the place? Why was there always something?

"You don't know about that," GLaDOS asked in a mix of genuine confusion and condescension. "I would have thought you installed stuff like that so your property couldn't run off. Don't you own the place?"

"Oh right, that," Elm tried lying to her really poorly with a grand swish of his hand. He felt it best to pretend that he knew so maybe she didn't try anything. He now certainly did not want her controlling anything in the house. "Just don't worry yourself by that. How about we just get you situated? " Elm looked over to Zelda for help with a very serious look.

"Yeah let's do that," Zelda piped up getting up from her chair. Grabbing GLaDOS's shoulder she looked at Elm for some more context. He just gave another serious look hoping that was enough to tell what to do. She seemed to get it and nodded her head. "Where do you want to sleep?"

"I do not require sleep. I require only electricity to run this interesting body I have found myself in," GLaDOS explained to Zelda who only nodded like she knew why GLaDOS needed electricity. "Also preferably somewhere I can work on my tests and maybe Elm's if he requests any." Zelda again looked to Elm both in worry and for direction.

"Just put her in that storage room you told me about. It has an outlet right," Elm offered Zelda who nodded hesitantly. He then quickly whispered to her, "I am not doing any tests, alright." She quickly nodded more assured and started to lead GLaDOS off in that room's direction, presumably. Elm sighed once they had turned the corner. Just a few more things to worry about. How did it seem that everything he did in here caused more and more things to pop off? Zelda had been the only smooth part about all this, everyone and everything else was sandpaper.

He looked over to where he last saw Hinata and found her not there. She must have sneaked off back into her room. He chewed on the thought of trying to talk to her, but then he remembered about tomorrow. Right, Vanny. This was going to be a problem. A robot and now a psychotic rabbit. He had been really counting on Hinata being at least a bit open to protection at this point.

Elm took in a deep breath and with everything that had happened today, he decided to go to sleep. It was a bit earlier than normal but he was tired and tomorrow. Tomorrow was probably going to be all sorts of fun. Rubbing the bridge of his nose he walked off to his room.

What does tomorrow bring?
