"Let's stay at, rather thirsty, no need for it to be too long" After walking for a while we had to go downstairs first where some sort of event was happening lots of cameras, lots of attention, made me feel a bit awkward... Nervous as we made our way not interrupting the photos but as we were heading to the garden a cameraman stopped us.

• "No need it would take 1 minute, besides your parents were looking for you to tell you about it, that's why I haven't taken any picture yet, I would hate to be scolded hahaha" The old bald man laugh but there was a hint of worry in his tone

"Momo let's do this quickly and move on okay?" I mentioned to her getting on the camera spot as the cameraman got to it

• "Now one attempt please, smiles and could you remove the mask please, is not that type of party"

"If I remove my mask you will be paralyzed sir"

• "Oh that type of quirk I got you, I got you, my old sister's quirk wither's flowers when she touches them, makes her a bit sad actually... Okay now everyone big smiles, photo in 5... 4... 3 ... 2 .. 1..." I hugged Momo as if she was my couple, hand around her waist and she did the same, her hand around my shoulders, she was really tall in those heels... "And done... All good here mister and miss Momo, please go on with your day, I hope you win"

"Sounds good" She held my hand and we head out to her yard, garden, whole backyard, it was so big actually there was a whole path for it, multiple gardeners must work on this garden daily, why are rich people so rich. It upset me feeling so poor, but Momo sees nothing wrong on it, she just keeps walking a woman in a mission and I should be his assistant as expected.

"You are very serious about this... Momo want to perhaps talk about this before anything"

"What do you mean? Isn't this what you want too?"

"Sure I do but you look a bit in a hurry to find out, is something wrong"

"I- Y-yes I was thinking about last time, the thing you said about my parents... I want to know what part they play on this"

"I see... I don't think your parents mean bad and if they do its because of Adam... My uh my dad, they would never be malicious in my opinion okay, so- Uhm sorry for what I said"

"No its, okay, what I am doing here is not something that I should ignore, my parents I love them but, I still have to know what they do, or else how am I suppose to trust them, I am their daughter after all and parents are suppose to protect their children"

I flinch hearing that, not liking this parent talk, made me feel uncomfortable, unwanted "S-sure..." As we started to approach we noticed my dad at the distance, it was show time... Wait no I wasn't going to do anything it was up to her... I whispered "Good luck Momo, uhm, I will be here if anything" And let her approach him, I just stared at him from the distance, his bodyguard, the grey hair girl was also here, she was wearing quite a nice dress too, I wondered if she was the plus one, but as Momo and Adam started talking she suddenly left the place starting to approach me instead, didn't wanna talk to her so I tried to ignore her, going to a table nearby to eat food, hopefully she would simply walk past me but she didn't.

She just stood next to me and serve herself some food, quite a lot of food actually she was grabbing like a whole dinner's worth in her plate, except all this food was fancy, at least she was modest as she ate using the utensils, not like she looked as someone who misbehaves, but still I know she ain't rich or else she wouldn't be a bodyguard right?

A few minutes of silence past as we ate, I kept taking glances at Momo and Adam discussing, I was able to hear the discussion but I didn't hear outloud any code nor anything wrong or bad, she wasn't being under attack either, obviously but Momo seemed... Upset, but she didn't say anything to me yet... I had my worries still, worries that were confirmed by the bodyguard girl that my dad brought.

"She shouldn't talk to Adam so lightly"

"Hm?" That's all I said I was about to talk until I remember what Momo said, can't let her catch me either

"Your friend, Adam its about to probably either deceive her or tell her the truth and I don't know which one is worse, but I shouldn't be surprised, specially with how fucking pathetic they act, how terrible they behave, this politics, this show, this whole thing its a great representation of heroism nowadays, specially in this small polluted country island" Oh cool a racist a bodyguard, I thought to myself still not speaking.

"But you know is not like Nemo was different, where at Japan they breed popstars and handsome fellas and busty women to be the representation of their heroes and nowadays saviours, at Nemo they breed soldiers ready to take over a country for whenever we are called, well that was the idea at one point but now, I guess they are just playing hiding until a new evil enemy appears, I wonder who shall be the next villain to change the world and the next dumbass hero that shall be seen as their saviour thanks to a powerful quirk instead of dealing with the problem from the root, should've killed that Shigaraki kid the first time they met if you ask me"

"..." I stood quiet trying to not break character

"Are you ignoring me Jack" As she said my name I felt myself sweating literal bullets trying not to speak back at her, trying to ignore her, I turned to her and started doing hand signals, hoping she thinks I am mute. "Wh-what are you? Are those gang signs what are you doing? ... Jack stop that shit... Oh wait- Are you hiding from Adam? Makes sense. But I know its you, no matter what hair, skin colour, or height you have, I can sense who you are, specially with that type of breathing and walk that you have, change the body but not the mannerisms, but its okay I noticed when you got closer... Also I KNOW Sign language, that was a context at Nemo academy"

"Shit it is?" I responded

"Yes, its universal you know, helps when kids lose hearing or you meet a mute person in need of assistance, you know being a hero and all, but you don't do it to help people, I used to... It was... Nice... Then it stopped being nice"

"Okay then again back to Adam"

"Oh yeah Momo shouldn't deal with him, Adam is 100% using her, but I heard what he said before about the whole agency thing, its just a bunch of fake propaganda, if she request for the true reason, about why she is being picked, well, the truth always hurts huh?" I was lost for a moment until I saw Momo, her fist was clenching she looked angry, but furthermore, she looked about to cry... I was about to approach her until the mistery woman stopped me. "I am not done speaking junior, so listen up well cause I will say it just once, I do not care what happens to heroes in this country, but I promise you I won't let Adam ruin it either"

"So you are on our side?"

"I am on my side, I don't know which side you are on, but that's all... Want to run the ones?"

"Huh? A-are you asking me for sex?"

10 Minutes previously. Momo POV

I took a deep breath, I thought that I should first approach with a friendly face, not to get any red flags, no worries, just friendly discussion with Adam "Adam, hello, so glad to see you made it here" I spoke in perfect english wanting to converse with him in his native language, make him feel welcome, also this way less people would be able to hear us.

"Aaaah Momo Yaoyorozu, glad to see you here, you know I was just talking with your dad a while ago, business talk, nothing you would be interested"

"Oh quite the opposite, might as well catch up with what they said right?"

"Its a party no need to bore you"

"Oh please mister Adam, everyone here is a business person, millionaires, business is all they know about, all they speak of"

"Sadly kind of true, I would speak to you about my past, but I only have a few cool things to tell... Fine then let's catch you up... Diana go take a hike, drink something, eat something have fun with the mysterious playboy with the mask over there"

"Do you not recognise that guy?" Diana asked, feeling nervous, did she find out about Jack?

"No... Why should I? Is he like a famous hero or something? Not too famous if I haven't heard of him"

"Adam... What did my parents say about the business"

"We made a deal, they help me build as long as you and only you get the control of it, I approved but you are getting all the control, the management, the finances, the hirings, of course it will take a while to build but I am sure by the end of the year, when you guys graduate you will have your own big agency miss, no need to thank me, I know I am awesome"

"That's good to know but why me?"

"Well your family trusts you enough, I do as well, What's wrong with that?"

"Let me elaborate" I cleared my throat, my finger going inside my purse to close the zipper, but in reality I pressed a button that activated a recorder, recording our conversation "You said that I was the most capable woman to do this kind of job, but then again the only person, but I recently and after reading your files and information from what I gather on internet and other businessman alongside heroes, I am not the only one, you have many heroes at your disposal, many of them from around the world, many of them japanese fluent, many of them trusted partners who have been working with you for years that could handle a branch of your agency in south america, here as well, you have also a good related close person in japan, your son Jack Anderson, it was easy to notice and find out he was your son by the way, So why me?"

"Hm? Oh, well you are rich and I am rich, rich people stick together, get riches, get biches you feel me? Hahahah, but seriously, we are great businessman and your family approach me first"

"Then I am not accepting and therefore our business will go nowhere"

"Your parents will be pretty mad"

"That's okay we have enough money"

"Why, why, why you ask these questions like they truly matter, but the answer is not what you would like, Why giving you power? Cause they asked me to. Why not someone that I can control? I was in shock as he said that last part, he meant that word, he meant it with every inch of his soul "You better rephrase that"

"...Sure... Your parents ask me to, to make you the boss of the agency"

"Evidently... Wait..." What did he mean, of course they did? But, that's not what he is trying to say

"Come on, you can do it, figure it out"

"... Why did they ask you to do that?"

"Oh come on, did you really think its because you are a hero or something, grow up"

He looked at me with certain evil look, as if looking down at me "Its because they want to keep you safe" But those last words, they sound reassuring, they should be, it sounds like he was saying the care for me, but the way he said it, he meant some bad intention behind those words. I went quiet waiting to hear him finish "Not clicking yet? Okay let me ask you this, How many villains has the great Creati, the great oh hero for everything, defeated by herself?"

"I-I don't know I don't keep a count"

"You don't keep a count, cause there is no count! No one, not a single villain. The thing that separates police from hero is not only the fact heroes are allowed to use quirks but also theyt defeat super villains, the ones that use costumes and act like they know the truth of the world those stupid idiots playing dress up"

"I have arrested many villains and-"

"Nonono you arrested robbers, you arrested, I don't know sexual offenders? Maybe? Probably a guy that stabs one or two people while on ****, but you have never, defeated a villain, every single villain you fought, you lost, fucking dissapointing and don't try to run numbers on me cause I did! Your parents, really nice people by the way, they really loooove you, they told me everything and why they want to keep you safe" He approached me, getting closer to my face "Back at the academy you almost got **** by a bunch of low tier nobody villains that now work as wage slaves or doing time at a low state jail, the forest, you almost die to a fucking frankenstein monster, the war you almost die to gigantomachia, not sure how that villain exists either, that shit was the size of an apartment-"

"What do you mean? We stopped gigantomachia!"

"We, as in multiple people, not you, definetely not you, dear fucking god, also you didn't stop him, he was killed by that guy, uuuh the weirdo, one for all?"

"That's all might, all for one was-"

"Yeah whatever- But you, yourself you are not a hero, you are aaa.... Like a walking utility belt you see? In fact let me do something" He pulled out his phone searching something, as I was furious, I wanted to punch him on the face, he was discrediting every single thing I did, I didn't care I wasn't alone but we did it, that's the point, that was always the point save the day, not get the fame and glory of it "Here it is, Endeavour Izuku Midoriya stops Hero killer, 4 years ago, Shoto Todoroki goes and follows his father steps as a hero defeating another villain at Shibuya district, 2 years ago, hell even this, Dynamight explosive hero Bakugo defeats villain trio known as the three mus-ki-killers"

"Th-those are feats from my teammates what are you on about?"

"Now let's search you here on the news, let's see, Momo Yaoyorozu, Kendo and yadda yadda, launches a new hair product for women, 4 years ago, Yaoyorozu family on their way to invest on hero stocks, could her daughter be involved, Momo yaoyorozu promotes new shoewear for sportswomen, go girls! All your news are featless things as heroes, but don't worry heroes are not needed anymore you will fit right in the new era of heroism"

"I never did any of those for fame"

"Never said fame but you once more, never did anything as a hero, anything relevant, gigantomachia released and killed lots in city, almost died multiple times fighting villains and stop absolutely nothing, your parents don't want you to die, that's why the agency will be run by you, you will be so fucking busy that if 'mister malicious villain the man that shoots lasers and flies appears', you won't face him, cause if you do you will fucking die, cause you are useless, instead Jack will be sent by you!! Aaaah you see where he plays a part in your agency now? We get money and he is regarded as a great hero, therefore a great hero agency and we are done"

I was in shock I wanted to say again that I didn't care about fame, but the more I think about it, I never defeated a villain on my own "-But its not about that, its about saving the day, saving people, its-"

"Yeah sure it is! But if you are alone... God helps those people cause we sure as hell ain't being saved by you... Make yourself a favour and hear me out, heroes will dissapear once villains dissapear, heroes shall become popstars, models, stars from the internet, they will be cool people, influencers in a way once villains are gone in Japan and you could lead these era of stars"

"You want me to give up being a hero to be an influecer? You can't be serious"

"Sure, until you are 40 at least, then you will just be management, ugly ladies don't get to be heroes after all, god knows how long will your beauty last... Of course you can go and try beat a villain but- Eh, I think you already got the idea that you are unable to do that, there is a name for your type of quirk, its called assistance quirk, quirks that can't fight but can help others, see? You stay out of problems and help people"

I was one step away to create a baton and hitting him, but so many people I was under control of myself but hearing all that hurts, I truly never thought of things that way, because they don't matter as long as someone was safe it was okay, but, hearing him say that as long as I was alone, I won't be able stop a villain, that people can't depend on me protecting them, only helping them from the sides, wounded deeper, but I couldn't say anything "You are a horrible person"

"Sure... At least I am not a horrible hero" I left, I couldn't anymore- I left swallowing my rage... "Wait don't tell your parents, its not their fault... you look good in that dress" I couldn't do this no more, I needed to step away from him before I lose everything, be on my own for a while.

Back to Jack's POV

"Momo hold on! Wow you can actually walk fast on those heels" I said as I got next to her "What happened, What did he say?"

"Nothing he said nothing important?" She cleaned her tears

"Doesn't sound like nothing important if you are crying can you just tell me?"

"What for? You will probably say the same right you are his child after all" I stopped on my tracks hearing those words, feeling angry myself too.

"Momo, I know you are angry but don't compare me to my dad again." I said with a straightforward voice holding back any insults towards her person

"Sorry sorry... No you are, sorry that was uncalled for, I am just- I am upset sorry, this isn't your fault"

"Huh he got to you?"

"Something like that-" I grab a few drinks from a waiter that was passing nearby "-I wasn't expecting the man to raise you to act like that"

"Raise me?"

"Yeah he is your father after all"

"He didn't raise me"

"Wait what?"

"Yeah he was never in my childhood"

"You are a single parent child? Oh my god that must've been so hard for you"

"... Momo being a single parent child its not as strange as it sounds... But my mother didn't raise me either"

"Hold on you know your parents but you were an orphan?" I chuckled watching her being confused

"No, no its not like that, its hard to explain, but... How about we just relax and you tell me what happened, sounds good?"

"W-would be good, let's go back to my room we can watch Adam for a while and maybe intervene if he goes off rails"

"He won't my dad is patient... Sorry you had to deal with him alone"

"Its okay... Sorry for saying that stuff back there" We promptly left to her room as I was carrying some drinks alongside her.
