Who are you?
Allen Irwin
“Don’t fight! Run!”
But I was already gone. I heard the gun fire as I sprinted down the alleyway. There was no turning back now. This was it.
How had things come to this?
Those words repeated endlessly through my mind as I sprinted full on back the way we had all come. I was moving faster than humanly possible, but that’s the logic in this place. Nothing was real, and what was real, wasn’t worth living for.
“Gwen!”
I heard someone shout her name behind me. Oh Gwen. Oh sweet beautiful Gwen. If only we hadn’t woken up in the first place. This would’ve never had to happen.
“Allen, I have a place for you to jack out. Turn left at the corner. Stop crying, I need you to focus. Stop thinking about the girls, and get out!” I heard the voice speak into my earpiece as I was running. Doing as the voice told I turned the corner.
Sitting on the side of the street was a row of pay phones. I could hear one ringing. “Third phone down, grab it and get out.” I was running as hard as I could when suddenly from around the corner I saw it.
A man in a black suit, sunglasses, and a perfect haircut. It was an agent. I froze in my tracks. I didn’t know what to do. The phone was in between us.
“Run for it Allen!”
I sprinted for the phone, but the agent moved as well. We both rushed to get to it first. As I neared the phone I dove to try and grab it first. Right as the agent grabbed my arm I put the phone to my ear, and woke up…
“Why did it come to this Gwen?”
