Chapter 49

What's next?
Alice rolls a three!
The pace of the game had increased drastically over the past half an hour. Be it a combination of a sense of urgency as well as Ruby dropping out. There was still a haze surrounding Ruby's involvement in the game. On one hand they all recognized her as being a player that went through most of the rounds, but none of them seemed to have any idea as of what cards she'd drawn over it's course. Hadn't they been so preoccupied with finishing the game they might've come to the haunting conclusion that perhaps Ruby wasn't always like that, perhaps she'd been just like the rest of them..
Those very ideas were the last thing on Alice's mind as she threw the die for what would be her tenth time today. To her dismay it turned out a measly three. Not only was her roll less than satisfactory, it dialed her in on a tile already occupied by Bitch which meant yet another perk for Alice. It was strange how many perks she'd received considering she was the first one to roll back when the game started, maybe her notion of having shit luck wasn't unfounded after all..
Breaking Alice's train of thought was Kitty when she started reading her feline friend's next card out loud.
So dark and dull, it's time for a different sheen
Not anymore so talkative or chatty
All while becoming oh so much more catty!
Instead of black or gray, how about green?
Do you continue or chicken out?
She hated that word, catty. Despised how the game was driving her towards being more of a pet than an actual person. More so, she loathed how the game was tricking her into liking it. She knew that those feelings weren't truly her own. Then again, it was becoming harder and harder to know exactly what that meant. The "current" her felt more real than the person she used to be, more like a memory from a dream than an actual life lived at this point. It was however still what Alice yearned for, not yet having lost herself to the changes completely. With every card she could feel her original self ebb away ever so slowly.
The prospect of accepting her fate was far from tempting, though it was difficult to tell how long she'd keep up what little resilience she had left.
"I.."
She hesitated. Was it really worth the risk of losing herself even more? Then again, it was only what she assumed to be a physical alteration to her face or head. She already had the cat ears, what would be next?
"..Continue"
Only one way to find out, and that's by powering through the hesitation and terror. As expected the card disappeared and Alice reluctantly became the center of attention.
It was incredibly anti climatic. From what they could gather, the changes were exclusively centered around her eyes. More specifically, their color. They went from her dark brow, almost black color to a green one. More akin to what you'd find on a cat. Actually very much like bitch's eyes.
Without even thinking, Alice stepped down from the couch she'd been sitting in and onto the floor where she found herself feeling a whole lot more comfortable. Why was that? Had anyone bothered to ask, Bitch would've had the answer. She knew about the perks after all. Was that information she'd willingly give to the opposition? Not a chance in hell.

It was fairly convenient actually. It was harder for her to obtain line of sight with her friends as the coffee table was sat bam smack in the middle, somewhat blocking her view. Hopefully she'd avoid making those facial expressions as much. Her "view" was in the meantime not only hindered, but slightly improved in other areas. More specifically it put her on "head level" with Kitty's panties whenever her pose allowed for it. She so desperately wanted Kitty to drop underwear entirely. Except for the socks maybe. How good it would feel to be stepped on by her gracious, sock-covered feet. God forbid she was **** to worship her feet, or better yet; Her ass and thighs!
"You okay over there..?"
Alice was abruptly brought back to reality by Kitty's question. She'd been staring giddily into space as she imagined all the different ways Kitty could dominate her. Hopefully she'd get a mental card of her own to incentivize her to give in to those fantasies.
"I.. Uh- Yea. I'm fine.."
Before things had the chance to get any more awkward for the poor cat-girl, Bitch went ahead with her tenth turn hoping to regain some lost ground on Kitty.
Oy!

Chicken out: The game
A simple transformative game of chicken
Welcome to chicken out! The game so good we spun it off unchanged!! Based on the concept of Mr_Anderson. This is a game of chicken. The players each take turns rolling a die, their game piece moves accordingly and they draw a card based on the color they land on. The cards contain a text with transformative properties. After reading the card, the player can then choose to either continue or chicken out. Easy, right?
