Aftermath

As the kiss finally begins to break, Alex's eyes snap open, and he stares at you with a mix of concern and guilt etched on his face. His hands, still wrapped around your waist, tighten slightly as his gaze darts down to where your bodies are still intimately connected. His eyes widen, and he mutters a curse under his breath.

For a moment, you don't understand what's wrong, but then it dawns on you, he didn't use a condom. His face contorts in a mixture of guilt and worry as he searches yours. "John I'm sor-", he starts before you stop him.

You place a gentle finger on Alex's lips, silencing him as you shake your head. "We were both caught up in the moment. There's nothing we can do about it now," you say, trying to reassure him. Your voice is barely audible, but it's enough to calm the panic rising in his eyes. You can almost see the wheels turning in his mind, thinking about the possible consequences.

You were trying to calm him down, but internally you were just as panicked and confused. You were having fun with Alex, but you were feeling something deeper. Was is just the the thrill of having sex as a woman or was it something more? Would it be the worst thing in the world if you stayed this way? What would that mean for you and Alex's relationship? What about the kid? Were you just fuck buddies? Something more? You felt yourself starting to breath heavy the more you thought about it. Suddenly you felt Alex's hand on your cheek.

It was now him comforting you, taking a deep breath you gave him a smile that he returned. feeling the weight of his gaze on you, you stare back.

After realizing you've just been staring at each other, you awkwardly look away feeling your cheeks blushing. You gently lift yourself off Alex, and he slowly withdraws from you, his eyes remained fixed on you.

You stood there awkwardly trying to cover yourself. Despite what you had just done, you were suddenly very aware of your nakedness. "Umm... do you have a shirt-" your request was interrupted.

The ringing pierces the air, you feel a tense silence settle over the room. You both freeze, your eyes locked on each other with a look of confusion on both your faces, as the ringing continues echoing through the room. You're not even sure how it got here. You didn't have it when you left the house with Jimmy, and yet, there it is, ringing insistently on the nightstand beside the bed.

Alex stood up and grabed your hand holding it tight with reassurance, as he nods. You pick up the receiver, your hand shaking ever so slightly as you bring it to your ear and answer, "Hello?".
