A pair of beauties!

My jaw dropped for a moment as I saw a beautiful dark skinned woman with white hair, standing beside her was a woman with brown hair. I gently cracked open the door a bit. "Who are you? I thought all the scholarship stuff was already done with?" I kept the chain on the door, the bat in my other hand as I hid it behind my back. "We're from another school that wants to offer another option to you in fact, can we come in?" I figure it can't be too bad to let them in right? Besides a pair of beauties walked up to my door and there doesn't seem to be anyone else around, so I open the door and let them in. Locking it again and setting the bat down near me once I return to the couch. "Is that bat really necessary?" The brown haired woman asked. "I moved here from a dangerous neighborhood where you could see thugs going door to door for protection money, guess it's a habit that will just take awhile to go away. Now what's this about another school?" I asked curiously, trying to keep focus on what brought them here.

"My name is Ororo and this is Kate. We're mutants like yourself and we're here to offer you a place at Xaviers school for the gifted. It's a school for people like us, like you where we can learn to control our powers in safety." My eyes widened at my luck already. That was one of the groups wasn't it? The ones that I would be safe at. "Wait, but how did you know I had powers?" Miss Munroe answered with a smile "Our systems picked up when your powers awakened, it took us a little while to find you but we got another reading earlier today. Do you know what kind of powers you have?" I gulped for a moment, and looked at them both. "H-how do I know you have powers though?" In response I saw Kate smile and put her hand on the table, before her hand sunk through it and appeared out the other side of the solid wood. "I can phase through stuff myself, Ororo can control the weather. That's a bit hard to show in a little apartment like this though." She giggled out, both of them looking at me, clearly hoping to see what my powers could do.

"W-well I um... I might need some uh, help with that. So... please just humor me with this but... Um could you make a wish? Like something small that you would change, about yourself I mean." Ororo and Kate looked at each other before Kate shrugged and spoke up. "Alright then. I wish I was a little taller?" The words left her lips and my eyes glowed a slight golden color as I snapped my fingers with one hand, both ladies looked at me for a moment before Ororo looked back at Kate. "Wait... Kate? I think your wish just came true!" Kate's eyes widened as she stood up with surprise, heading for a nearby mirror to see for herself. Ororo turning back to me, looking at me with surprise. "You can grant wishes?" I raised my hands for a moment as she looked a bit worried. "Well yes and no, I can't grant anything BIG mind you, but small wishes that change things about the person making the wish? Seems to be no trouble with that. It also feels like I can only do it about... 3 times per person I think?" I said out, trying to look as thoughtful as I could. I had no idea the scenario's and worries going through Miss Munroe's mind as she thought about if certain bad people got control of me and my power, or what my power could do if it was able to grant bigger and bigger wishes.

Kate came back at that time, a big smile on her face. "It worked! I'm about 3 inches taller now! So your power grants other people wishes?" She asked excitedly, a quick explanation letting her know that he could only grant 3 wishes, that they had to be small too. "Interesting, so you think with time you could grant bigger wishes then?" I blinked for a moment before closing my eyes. "Yes, I think eventually I could, but I have no idea how long that might take." I explained, wondering what she might wanna wish for later on. "So far I've used it a couple times for other people, I don't seem to be able to make wishes myself though. I can just grant others wishes, I also feel like... I might be able to alter existing wishes eventually too." I explained, Kate's eyes widening as she got a big smile, Ororo looking more worried before returning to normal. "That sounds quite interesting. Zane? I feel that you should join our school, we can help keep you safe from those that would... Try and **** your power for their own gain. There are people out there that would use terrible methods to **** you to do their bidding." She warned me, Kate's face lighting up with fear as she seemed to suddenly think about some of those people, her face turning pale.

"B-but I'm already on scholarship, what about that?" I asked nervously, Ororo smiling at me. "It'll be alright, we can take care of things regarding your scholarship. We have a few people that can help with that. The bigger question is how long would it take for you to gather your things and if you need help. We brought another with us in case you needed help." With a nod I gathered what I needed into a couple of bags, told them I'd be right up and undid my wish on the couch before leaving. I followed them to a big jet, as we were heading inside I suddenly turned and asked "Hey is it just me or is there a smell of maple syrup?" When we get inside, Kate is giggling as Ororo has a look of amusement on her face, but it's the big man with blue fur I see in the pilot seat laughing that get's my attention. "Wait is that a FURRY?!" I ask suddenly, causing Kate to phase out through the floor as we hear her howling with laughter outside, the man sitting in the co pilot seat practically roaring with laughter. Storm looks like she's biting her lip hard enough to draw blood, and the co pilot has dropped what appears to be a cigar.

It's when Kate comes back inside with barely restrained giggle fits that she explains "So the blue furry guy there is Beast, also known as Dr McCoy, he's a brilliant scientist. The guy that smells of maple syrup over there? His name's Logan." Kate can barely keep her giggles under control, Logan shaking his head with a smile as Beast is chuckling as well. "Oh Scott's gonna love this one..." I just barely hear from Logan, Beast responding with "Ah from the mouths of babes..."
