A tour and meeting new people

I got shown around the place, after getting shown to my room of course. One of the first people I met though was a beautiful women with a streak of white going through her brown hair, her southern belle voice sending a wonder tingle through the ears. "Hey there sugar! Welcome to the school. My name's Marie and this is Jean, she's one of the professors here at school." The woman named Jean had beautiful red hair, she gave off a smile as I tried to not focus on just how many incredibly beautiful women were at this school. Suddenly Jean giggled a bit. "Aw well thank you!" Wait what? "Oh! Sorry, I have telepathy and your surface thoughts were picked up. But it's nice to be called beautiful, he was thinking the same about you Marie~" I must have looked embarrassed while Jean was teasing, Marie had a little blush and a smile on her face. So I spent a minute or so getting teased before the Jean lead me on a tour through the mansion.

I saw a training room, multiple class rooms, and was introduced to several others. A brother sister pair named Piotr and Illyana, another guy with blue fur by the name of Kurt, a cold blonde woman named Emma frost among several other people. I got approached by Kate as she led a group over to me, introducing themselves as Jubilee, Tabitha, Amara and a woman named Betsy. "Here he is! Go ahead and ask him for yourselves~" Kate giggled out as she stepped to the side. Jubilee was the first to walk up. "So what's your power? Kate was saying that it's something really interesting but wouldn't say what it was." I was blushing a bit from all the attention but I did still manage to answer them at least. "I uh... I can grant wishes for other people actually." Looks of disbelief followed, a scoff was heard from behind the group as Miss Frost interjected. "Really? You can grant wishes? How?" Ah so frost isn't just a name, I feel colder just from her talking at me. "I can only grant three wishes per person, my ability isn't strong enough to do anything major though, something small like increasing your height or changing something small about your body is easily granted though. Oh! For example I once was able to grant a woman wish for no more back pain, there was a few others I granted for body changes too."

Never did I feel like someone had just APPEARED behind me before, but Jean had practically teleported behind me only a few seconds later, Betsy having a smile on her face as she had tapped her head a little. "W-what? D-did I say something wrong?" I asked as most of the women there looked at me with wide eyes, Betsy Jean and Emma however were all smiles. "So you can do something like that huh? Alright then, I wish I had no more back pain." Jean had said as I turned around. Not thinking about it, I snapped my fingers as my eyes glowed a golden color again, before I stepped to the side so everyone else could see. Many eyes went wide though, including Jean's as everyone saw her chest actually become firmer, defying gravity like it had never even been there, her breasts must have been around E cup in terms of size. I blushed as I tried to look away, turning away from other ladies as they each began to crowd around Jean and myself. Jean confirmed she wasn't even feeling any stress at all in her back anymore, saying it was like Gravity didn't effect her chest anymore! Needless to say I spent quite a few minutes granting the same wish to each of the other ladies there, Emma and Marie seemed especially happy about it too.

Everything stopped for a moment when Illyana asked "So wait, can you make changes to our minds as well? Or other changes to our bodies? What's stopping you from using this power to control us?" I raised my hands in surrender as she seemed to get more worried and on edge as she spoke, practically glaring a hole in me. "I can't! I can't make wishes myself! I can only grant others wishes. Besides I get the feeling I couldn't affect minds with wishes like this. Controlling others is impossible for my power. I'm like a really weak Genie I guess? Like I can grant others wishes, but I don't have the power to do anything really impressive with them. I have like a sense of what my power can and can't do, so if I get asked to grant a wish I can't then I usually just say so." I explained, at first in a bit of a rush before calming down a bit more as I spoke. "Wait... could you remove back pain for all women then?" I felt my entire body freeze and grabbed my head in a sudden spike of pain. "No! No no, definitely not anywhere NEAR strong enough to affect so many at once." I explained, my head throbbing as I leaned against a wall, barely holding myself up. Several worried looks aimed my way. "S-sorry about that, it's like a painful spike being driven into my head, I can do it for one or even a few people at a time possibly. But all women is way out of reach right now. That spike of pain is like an... early warning system, it tells me the wish won't work and could possibly harm me if I try to grant it anyways." I explained, the three wish system seeming to give me more information as I tried to think about it more. "I can train it by granting more wishes to people it feels like, with enough wishes granted I should be able to eventually do a lot more stuff with it." I explained again. Jubilee apologizing for the pain, since she'd been the one to ask about it.

I told her it was fine, maybe someday I could do that, but that was a LONG way off. I saw Jean looking around with concern, Emma and Betsy looking like they were all scanning for danger? It's when Logan came running up all of a sudden that everyone froze. "What happened? Everyone alright?" He had asked looking around. "Y-yeah we're okay, what's wrong?" Jubilee asked. "I sensed something, like someone was in danger... Nothing happened?" It's at that moment that Jean's eyes widen and she looked at me closely. "Zane? I'm gonna open my mind a bit alright, can you endure that pain again if someone asks about a big wish?" I gave her a nod and tried to prepare myself for whatever happened next. Beast came by and asked what was going on, a quick explanation and I spoke to him. "Try um... Something physical I guess? Like a piece of equipment for example." I suggested to beast, already getting a slight warning that this could be bad if it was too big a wish. I can't even pronounce what Beast asked for, it was some piece of scientific tech that just SOUNDED like it belonged in Reed Richards lab though... and HOLY. FUCK. The PAIN that went through my head, I couldn't see color, Shapes were gone, I may as well have seen nothing but a white void. I didn't faint, but by the time I could see and HEAR again I realized I was on the floor, Jean was standing over me looking terrified and Emma looked about ready to puke, Betsy was looking more than a little pale too. Logan was looking scared, like he was reliving a BAD memory and Beast has returned with an emergency kit. "W-what... Happened?" I barely managed to croak out, my voice FELT and sounded like it had been put through a wood chipper, my bones felt like they were aching and my body felt like it was shaking.

I found myself very shakily getting back up into a standing position, not realizing my eyes had rolled up into my head even as someone tried to very carefully give me some water. My eyes slowly returning to normal as I closed them and blinked away the pain and dizziness, finally able to see fully I found Jean looking scared and concerned, with Emma sending a message to some other students in order to let Ororo know what had happened. "W-what happened?" I tried asking again, sounding a lot better already. "You... as best I can describe it, it was like you had a SPIKE of energy preparing to try and well, shove itself into your skull. I'm guessing that's the backlash you were talking about? It was incredibly sharp and well, looked to be about the size of a school bus..." This revelation caused the other non-telepath's to look at Jean in shock, then back to me with suddenly a LOT more concern. "It's a good thing it didn't do more than scrape at your mind, how is your head intact right now though?" Emma asked with surprise, even she sounded worried. "That would be me, I'm currently trying to bottleneck the pain so it doesn't affect him as much... It's difficult, it keeps trying to **** it's way through, like it's trying to hurt him just for hearing that wish." Jean explained, at which point I focused on cancelling the wish. With my focus on that the wish fell through, and the backlash slowly disappeared completely. "It... It's gone? How?" Jean asked as she relaxed a bit. "I cancelled the wish, if I didn't it would have kept trying to **** it's way through until it either worked or knocked me out completely. If I faint from granting a wish, it undoes ALL the wishes I've granted." I explained to them, most of them looking surprised, Kate pouting as she tapped the top of her head, not wanting to say goodbye to her new height.

With that impromptu scare out of the way I finally was brought to meet with the Professor, he'd been busy most of the day so the times just lined up really well. "Ah hello there! Zane is it? I hope you've enjoyed seeing our school so far. I'm glad that Miss Munroe was able to convince you to join us here." From there the meeting about the same as you'd likely expect. Talking about classes, explaining about my powers and that we'd just discovered I'd take psychic backlash from any wish too big to be granted until I cancelled it. The fact it had been strong enough to set off Logan's senses for danger had concerned Mr Xavier, but aside from that I was able to get settled in my new room without much issue. Later that day the Jet both took off again and returned, this time with the team that had apparently been on mission while I was getting picked up. I would probably get too meet them tomorrow at some point, for now though I went through my usual nightly ritual. Making small wishes to slowly increase my powers now that I was alone, but I wondered... should I make a wish for another ability before bed? Or perhaps some natural defenses against some type of power?
